Chapter 34 - Arnav, Khushi mingle with friends!

Khushi got early morning calls from Anjali Di and now Payal... She was surprised how quickly Arnav managed to update Di on their latest progress in relationship and her sister also knew it.

When Di and Payal jiji did became Arnav's allies and partners in crime? She wondered...

"Arnav, jiji and Di were mad at me... You already informed them about us? And they would never stop teasing me now..." Khushi whined at the breakfast table.

"Come on Khushi, Di calls me every day and pestering over this for like ever and ever... Plus I know how uncomfortable you are with this live-in thing. It was different when you were here to help me out when sick. But I would rather not force you into something you don't believe in. So we better get them to start planning our marriage" Arnav explained.

"These days someone is talking marriage all the time... So much from a person who never believed in marriages" Khushi teased.

"Yes, I can't wait to make you mine. And if it means marriage, I am ready for it. I love you so much... Plus I still remember how you ended up stuffing the whole samosa in your mouth when hearing first time about live-in relationships. You were so adorable!!" Arnav laughed out loud and then kissed her forehead.

"Oh Devi Mayya, you knew it?? I really appreciate that you know my opinions about live-in thingy. I am not judging others... But it's just not me. And I prefer to inform my family" Khushi admitted her true inner feelings.

"You were so obvious Khushi... But it's ok... And I do appreciate you putting my health over everything else and be here to take care of me..." Arnav sure is in love and is expressing a lot these days...

At work Ananya and Amit raised eye brows looking at Arnav and Khushi's cheerful faces...

"Wow, looks like they sorted out their tiff... I need the inside scoop now..." Ananya was ready to dig more and tease Khushi... Amit rolled his eyes and left from there...

Mr. Mehta could clearly see the storm has settled when Khushi and Arnav walked in together smiling.

"How are you feeling Khushi?" He enquired.

"I am fine sir, thank you" Khushi replied politely.

Regular work day just started when Ananya pulled Khushi towards the restroom...

"So?" Ananya asked Khushi...

"So what?" Khushi acted innocent...

"Live-in and all ha, Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta? What is going on" Ananya raised her eye brow and smirked...

"Nothing like that, we just sorted out our difference and we love each other. Arnav will talk to both families when we go to India in 3 weeks" Khushi whispered...

"In love, wow so much progress overnight! I need to know every detail. Maybe over the Thursday Happy Hour met at our regular place... You have not joined us in a while. Let's go this Thursday." Ananya pinched Khushi and Khushi turned red...

"Ananya, we are in office. Yes, I will tell you everything later, happy?" Khushi promised night out some time soon and hoped Arnav will let her go...

Just then Cathy walked in. Unlike Lisa, Cathy was happy for her friend ASR. She realized Arnav was deeply in love with Khushi after his PDA in the party.

She decided wait for him to tell her more!

And she did not want to miss out informing him about their upcoming team event...

"Arnav, next weekend we all are going to French Alps over weekend. John, Nisha, Ria, Lisa, Ryan and his girlfriend and Mario with his girlfriend confirmed so far. Jena might also join with her hubby. We plan to book rooms and activities in Les Arcs resort by tonight or max tomorrow and looking forward to do skiing, tubing and camp fires!" Cathy informed Arnav about their Harvard batch mate group's upcoming event.

"Count me in" Arnav replied her excitedly.

"Wow Arnav, you seem excited" Cathy was surprised with his super quick response.

"Yeah, it's been a while since I went skiing. Plus tubing and bon fires will be fun" Arnav was looking forward to it...

Thursday was already here. Ananya kept bugging Khushi about their Thursday hangout. Usually few of her college friends and trio used to go out during Happy Hour for dinner and drinks... Ananya and Amit too did some courses in same college as Khushi so they had a common group of friends they hang out with and try to meet every Thursday...

It's been a while since Khushi was able to join them for these outings.

"Arnav, usually we used to go out on Thursdays during Happy Hours in a nearby local hang out place. It's called Le P'tit Laurent" Khushi was talking to Arnav about it at almost 4 pm after being pushed by Ananya so much...

"Yeah, I have heard of that place, it's nice... Let's go. Anyways work is under control and this week is comparatively relaxed. So let's enjoy while we can..." Arnav casually agreed while wrapping up his files and stuff.

"Would you also come?" Khushi asked him seriously.

"Hold on, I am confused. You were informing me that you are going with your friends? Or you are asking me to join you and your friends? Either ways I am ok" Arnav suggested.

"Oh Arnav, why didn't I think of this before? But let me warn you this place is not very fancy... Simple and small but yummy food. And I would love it if you can come with me..." Khushi was excited.

"Ok, then. Any dress code?" Arnav enquired.

"I think we can go directly as we usually do. We are aptly dressed as well so no worries. I will wrap up my work too and buzz you in an hour" Khushi rushed to finish her work and inform Ananya.

"Ananya, Arnav is going to join us for Happy Hour" Khushi was so excited.

"Wow, it's a new thing. Khushi Gupta bringing her boyfriend for the first time" Ananya winked at Khushi making her blush...

Khushi introduced Arnav to all her friends. John, Marcus had joined too with their girls. Initially Arnav was a little awkward with their college talks but he gelled in pretty well afterwards.

Khushi's friends also slowly relaxed around him and they were indeed crazy, fun group just like his Khushi. Wine and dine with little dance on slow music was really fun. He could see Khushi's face shining in happiness.

They came home and had their small coffee talk before hitting the bed! Arnav decided to wait until morning for resort confirmation and then talk to Khushi!

"Khushi, we are going to French Alps Saturday morning and stay overnight there in Les Arcs resort. It's with my Harvard group. So you will meet my other few friends in Europe. We all studied at Harvard and kept in touch over the years and tend to do get together whenever we all are in close by places" Arnav informed her about their trip during breakfast. Cathy had just messaged him confirming that bookings were done.

"Wow, it will be sure fun. I would love to meet your friends. And does the resort have all snow activities? I would love to try those" Khushi was absolutely ecstatic to meet his friends and do tubing.

"Have you tried skiing or ice skating here?" Arnav asked curiously.

"I have done tubing and love it. Tried skating and skiing just couple of times so not really in comfort zone yet. So you have to guide me in that" She demanded.

"Perfect, I sure will. The resort has everything skiing, ice skating arena, tubing and bon fire... We might have to get out early and do the shopping as well. Buy those snow gears and clothes" With that Arnav rushed her to office.

Arnav was really relieved she did not hesitate even a bit going out with his friends. This will be loads of fun, he was surely looking forward to their first trip as a couple!
