Karan Johar is my father beyond my biological father, says Alia Bhatt

Now that Alia Bhatt's new film Badrinath Ki Dulhania is released, the sprightly diva has some time on her hands to go shopping for Karan Johar's newborn twins, Yash and Roohee.

"That's true," Alia concedes, a day after the release of her film while admitting, "Karan Johar is my father beyond my biological father (filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt). He means so much to me, even talking about it makes me emotional. I am delighted to welcome my new siblings and look forward to spending time with them."

Mulling over her choices, Alia says, "I love shopping and am a good shopper. I know exactly what to buy for whom. The ideal shopping for Yash and Roohee would be clothes. But I am told babies outgrow clothes in no time at all. So I'd rather buy stuff that stays with them for a while. Maybe furniture or toys. Or some fixture for their room. Let's see."

Alia is very excited about the new arrivals. "But more than me, I am happy for Karan because he's so happy," she says.

Ha paise aur films BHI Lena Hai in exchange for all this sweetness..Reminds me of Pooja bhatt's statement on her "she's conning people by acting dumb" ...

She is reminding him that she is his "adopted" daughter so she will still get movies. 😆

KJO will be so involved with his kids he may stop concentrating on movies for a while. Then the new CEO will have to allocate movies and who knows Aloo won't be given movies on a platter.

Perhaps if she stuck with her real father she will sound and be smarter than she really is. And do films that give her respect. Guess who introduced Kangana my dear Aloo, her biological father and guess who is the more awarded and respected actress. She will never, ever do good cinema or get respect as long as she stick with KJO. Go home to real dad.

Your father and you have made some of the most remarkable and socially-relevant movies of our times. Alia, on the other hand, has shown interest in conventional romcoms so far...
People think Alia is dumb. But the fact is that Alia has got depth of character. She is an intelligent young lady and a has been conning everyone by making people think she is an idiot. It is her intelligence and talent, which prompted filmmakers to sign her. She went ahead and did a film like Highway - which talked about incest. This only proves that she is ambitious and careful in choosing her projects.
