Chapter 33 - Khushi in a Live-in relationship!!

Arnav woke up to jilebi smell. It was Sunday morning and just 9.00 am in the morning... It worried him that Khushi started making jilebis as soon as she woke up. Now what happened? He quickly got ready and rushed to the kitchen...

"Now what happened? Tell me Khushi, what is bothering you?" Arnav looked at the pile of sweets and was worried for her... He also saw yummy breakfast ready with his hot steaming coffee...

"And thanks to your Devi Mayya that you did not change about making jilebis when stressed. It's easy for me to find out your mood swings." He joked and wrapped his arms around her...

"Arnav, you are making fun of me?" She asked faking anger...

"No baby, tell me what's bothering you?" He asked her genuinely...

"My problem is I can handle ASR... I don't know how to handle this romantic Arnav. So I was stressed" She started setting the breakfast on table... "I was just so happy that I had to eat jilebis, Arnav..." She sounded genuinely happy and back to being relaxed with him...

"Oh I see... Get used to it baby..." And again he was on his kissing spree. Seriously she needed to get used to these new changes...

"Khushi, Payal and Akash's first wedding anniversary is coming in three weeks. We need to plan to go to India for a weekend. I am arranging for a surprise party with Di. Do you have any ideas what we should do?" Arnav informed her about their India visit...

"So exciting... Arnav, I am so looking forward to go to India. I was unable to go last time because they all had plans but not any more... Yippee..." She was ready to jump...

"Calm down Khushi, let's plan first the theme and everything. Aman is booking our tickets and we will go for four days... One day we will work from India office at AR. I have some things piled up" Arnav was rolling out details.

"Great, let me talk to Buaji, jiji and DI today..." Khushi was ecstatic.

"Remember it is a surprise party so no hints for Payal... And how are you going to break the news to them that you are living in with me?" Arnav asked her smirking...

Until then she had not realized she was living in with him. She went berserk when she realized the situation she was in...

"What? I mean..." She couldn't conform what she wanted to say or do...

"Khushi, see we were unofficially living in all these days. But since yesterday we are in a relationship and staying together so that makes us a live-in couple..." Arnav smirked looking at her...

"And by the way, last time nani did not allow me. So officially you are first girl I am living in with" He further clarified.

"So how does it feel Khushi?" She did not know what to say... She sat down thinking...

"Arnav, I would like to go back and stay with Amit and Ananya. I do not want this live-in. I know my family will not approve of live-in relationship ever..." Khushi suddenly got very upset... She remembered Lavanya's words about live-in relationships and started looking anxious. Arnav quickly realized his joke backfired on him badly.

"Relax Khushi, I was just joking. Don't think too much. We will see what we have to tell families later" He tried hard to control the damage.

Khushi went inside the bedroom after breakfast and called Ananya quickly.

"Ananya, what is live-in relationship? Are you and Amit comfortable with it?" Khushi asked curiously.

"Of course Khushi, we love each other and are getting married soon. So we decided to move in together" Ananya sounded confident.

"But..." Khushi did not know how to ask any details further.

"Khushi, relax... It's ok. You know what you can talk to Arnav and ask him what it means for you both. Every relationship is very unique and its depth is different, Khushi" Ananya suggested knowing Khushi's dilemma. She did not want to tell Khushi something that will mess up her mind even further...

Arnav knew his fun intended realization made Khushi totally uncomfortable... He could hear her talk to Ananya and he had expected that...

"Khushi" He walked in slowly and sat next to her...

"Khushi, trust me it's no big deal. See we are busy professionals, in love with each other. After we have gone through so much, it's obvious we want to spend most of our time together, want to know each other. It will give us chance to understand and adjust with each other better" He held her hand in assurance.

"We can do things we love to do together like going out, dinner and movies, travel or just chat in balcony. And I promise, we don't need to do things that we are not comfortable with. It's that simple, Khushi. Don't think too much" He looked at her face for some reaction.

"What if we fight? What if we can't adjust with each other?" She was still not very comfortable with the idea.

"Come on Khushi, we have been together for almost a month now. Did we have any problems? In fact we are working flawlessly together at work and at home... And now that we have expressed our feelings, it will be even better and fun" Arnav side hugged her.

"If you say so. I am willing to try. But what will my family say?" She hugged him back and was still nervous...

"Leave that to me Khushi. I will handle it. Let's go out. It's a wonderful day today" Arnav was happy he could convince Khushi.

"Anytime you have questions or any confusion, you will come straight to me. I am always here for you... No hesitations please. You trust me right? And I will never force you to do something against your wishes or ethics" Arnav reassured her...

"And one more thing, Khushi" Oh how much she hated him smirking... It always meant he had ulterior motives.

"I am allowed to hug you and kiss you anytime! And lot more things. And you are allowed to love me back too... As girlfriend and boyfriend... In this live in relationship, we are only girlfriend and boyfriend and not husband and wife until we really marry" With that he took her in a hug and a deep kiss...

Khushi looked at him shocked that he read her mind and yet relieved they know their boundaries!!
