Humari Annika:
What I loved about today's episode about 'Humari Annika' feels. The Family, I might even go to the extent of saying Pinky included, were very upset by what Kamini said. I loved how being the 'older Bahu', and in Dadi's absence, Jhanvi took a stand for the daughter-in-law of the house. She even told Tej off there for a bit and I loved her for it. She was Annika's rock today even though it was her daughters rasam at stake... go Jhanvi!!
Barring Tej, because I am not even going to go there right now, I loved how Jhanvi not only called her Bahu but gave her the due respect as one. I can see Pinky getting jealous if their bond starts forging considering Annika is her 'eklauthi bahu'. đ
OmRu stood up for her as her Devars as always - they are the real Great Walls for her right now. Those boys may marry tomorrow and settle down but their love and protectiveness for their Bhabhi will never dwindle. What amazing sons Jhanvi has brought up. Rudy asking his Bhabhi to join Bhaiya - Bhabhi ka little chamcha ..lol (cutie pie)
And the jewel in the crown - Shakti speaking to Annika like a father-in-law for the first time ever and calling her beta. He spoke to her without any hesitation in his voice about her missing the ceremony and has slid into the role so smoothly. It was just for a few seconds but it warmed my heart. Please CV's can we get more of these moments.. sigh!! They make sure a lovely papa-daughter pair.
Meri Annika:
"Tum Meri Annika Ho" - time to shout that out to the world Billuji. As a famous man once sang, "A little less conversation ~~ a little more action" đ
Seems that the Oberoi Family has accepted her as 'Hamari Annika" already the way they stood up for her respect and place in the house.
It is Mr. Oberoi who has issues with where she is "Meri Annika' and where she is not
What I loved about today and why I am feeling positive even though there was so much sadness, negativity and a tensed atmosphere.
I for one am not upset with Kamini or Daksh today. I liked that Kamini was targeting Shivvay instead of Annika. I know to you all this sounds weird but Shivvay IS the target here, not Annika. I did not see her looking insultingly at Annika or even giving her a condescending look. She and Daksh were aiming their looks and jabs at Shivvay today.
mera maatlab sirf naam ki shaadi sey nahi hai, aasli shaadi sey hai' - point!! I totally agree. We are not playing gudda/guddi' here. This is the real world.
Aap logon ke ghar mein kya chal rahahai yeh mujhe nahi pata, magar mein toh wohi sach manuge na jo mein bahar sey sunke aye hun'- point again!!
Yeh Kamini lawyer acche ban jati agar pallu sambhal sakti toh ...lol
"Bahar walon ki nazron mein Shivvay ki biwi woh (loved the whole not giving importance to Tia here) Tia Kapoor hai, na key yeh Annika" - The sins of the past resurfacing Mr. Oberoi?? You didn' think that you would escape them, did you??
"... bas issi liye chahati hun key Annika yeh rasam na karey", and neither I saw nor heard any malice or gloating in the voice towards Annika when she said that. And every look, action or jab is aimed at Shivvay and only Shivvay. Sorry to say even when Annika looked at Daksh I did not see him gloating only the look that said ,"I told you so!"
"Aur waisey bhi, jis ristey ka koi naam nahi, koi pehechan nahi, main yahi chahati ki mere bete ... " - again this is for Annika to hear and understand but the jab is at Shivvay because it is he who is not making it legal.
It was as if Shivvay was standing in a witness box and was being roasted. I loved it!!! Kamini I want to kiss you just for this. (no Chameli's please ..lol)
Jhanvi, Om and Rudy - you calling Annika Bahu/Bhabhi is of no use when the man married to her cannot stand up for her and tell Kamini that she is his Patni.
"Theek hai!! Annika yeh Rasam karegi yah nahi karegi yeh Shivvay ko hi decide karne dete hai" and she picks the ball and places it back in Shivvay's court. Perfect!!! I am with Kamini here ... sorry guys.

She has no identity as an Oberoi Bahu outside these 4 walls.
Every sentence was like a lash from a whip,every sentence a crude reminder that they were living a lie and every sentence reminding them of the nameless relationship that they were both a part of.
Nothing ... and I mean nothing she said was wrong or a lie. She just made the two eat of the Tree of Knowledge. It was very much needed because Annika too has become complacent within the OM about who she really is, what her identity is and what her self-worth has been reduced to. Kamini seems to be a bold woman who has just stated very crude and bare facts. Today she looked less of the vamp and more Annika's lawyer' hell bent on putting Shivvay on the spot.
Shivvay has her trapped in this maze of smoke and mirrors' that he has built around her. She has stopped thinking, rationalizing and identifying with who she really is. He has his coils tightly woven around her while he has her mesmerized with his very aura that blocks her from escape. She has to be awakened and become the Dabang Annika' again but not just to deal with Daksh, she needs to be that with Shivvay as well.
