With all the traumatic events, she experienced I was wondering how she was so okay, but looks like the writers were waiting for Daksh's return. SC was amazing today 👏
Character-wise she hasn't been the same since the wedding happened. I remember her breakdown after the reception and her words then explain her behavior now. She was fun and full of life, but now she is like a zombie resigned to her fate. As a viewer, I know her abandonment issues coupled with her love has made her accept this benaam relationship, but it's disappointing she isn't angry. She is a human being and she should be even angrier now because she is in love. It's natural to be angry when people we love hurt (and continue to hurt) us because they aren't supposed to hurt us. We expect more from them, but the problem is she doesn't expect anything from him or his family. The writers have written her this way on purpose so the abuse continues and she accepts it all, which yields them TRPs.
I was upset about Prinku hiding the truth, but I realized her only example of dealing with this type of situation is Om. He went against his principles, spiraled into drugs to deal with the guilt, and continues to hide the secret for her. In turn, she wants to protect her brother, who is more of a father than her own father is and she thinks this is the only way. Like Om, who without hesitation was willingly to take all the blame for her mistake she is in turn doing the same for Shivaay. While I admire the love I wish these siblings would realize you shouldn't cover up sins for family because that is doing them more harm than good. You take responsibility for your actions and make amends for your mistakes, but then we wouldn't have a show lol.
While Prinku's actions are out love, but I'm not sure if the same could be said for Anika. I might be in the minority but her actions don't say love to me. Yes, she is love in fact she said it herself, but her actions seem to stem from her inferiority complex. It's not shocking she has developed a complex after being constantly targeted and put down. She thinks less of herself because of them. Apologizing to her brother's aggressor and her abuser was submission, not an act of love.
I want to sympathize with Anika and Prinku, but it's too much self-sabotage. For the sake of a brother and a husband they are willingly to endure pain and humiliation. While I don't agree, it's not like some people don't think this way. My issue is with the writers' glorification of their destructive behavior.
Maybe this will be the amazing track of where Anika finally rises from the ashes *knock on wood* This would be a perfect opportunity to address the two traumatic events in her life when both perpetrators are present in her life. I love you Shivaay, but sorry taking a bullet for her doesn't absolve you have your sins. Prinku can own up to her mistake and stop letting a bully manipulate her.
I know we need conflict and drama, but come on writers give us and the characters a break😆
I shouldn't have any expectations, but someone please stop this wedding. Kamini, Daksh, and the ACP is a horrible fate for Prinku and Anika. Anika re-open your detective agency, Om please remember the ACP is the same psycho that was emotionally torturing you, and Rudra feel free to impersonate the pandit again.
Jokes aside, this would be a perfect time to have both characters stand up to their abusers and find their voice again.
