Chapter 30 Continued -

Arnav decided to sit in a corner and have a glass of wine...

Models started pouring in and getting ready in the room behind the ramp. Since Khushi was not there, Aman and assistants were helping them. Mr. Mehta was attending some of his old clients.

"Wow, ASR looks sexy as usual... I wish I could go one date with him while I am here in Paris" As usual models were going through their gossips while getting ready...

"Yeah these days he has slowed down. May be getting old or got a girl??" Another model commented and laughed...

"No way, once a Casanova, always a Casanova. He is better that way. I don't see him marriage or boyfriend material. I heard he is great in ... though. He can stay that way..." The girls were blabbering non-stop...

"Lisa thinks these days he has eyes only for his PA. She is so simple, so not his type..." Another comment.

"I don't care... I am happy if he is available for me tonight... While he can keep her at home for his family..." They all laughed...

"Is she not the same girl tried to seduce ASR back in India? I had seen her video on TV and you tube back then... Such a down market girl!!" Another sly comment...

"No one else stands a chance if Lisa has her eyes on him... Lisa will do a better job than his PA, what's her name? She is too plain Jane... Will not be able to keep him hooked for long" One more to go...

Arnav was rooted to the spot terrified... Is this why she had reacted like that yesterday night? It sent shivers down his spine... Is this what she has been hearing all these days and was upset about? Obviously she could not tell what was bothering her but this kind of gossip was way beyond anyone's tolerance level...

He ran downstairs... Looked for Aman who had just gone down and got the dress he had made for her this time. He saw Ananya, asked where Khushi was. Khushi had sent her back saying she will manage...

Khushi was in dressing room along with few models... She looked around for a dress while the models were walking out. Lisa and Cathy also were there for final touch ups.

"Lisa, I will be back in 5 minutes. Then we can go to the terrace." Cathy informed her while going to the bathroom.

Khushi picked up some dress looking at the size and went in to try.

"Hey but it's a see through dress. Try something else..." One of the models who was rushing upstairs tried telling Khushi but Khushi already closed the door...

"Yeah, you and I know it. But she doesn't" Lisa carelessly whispered but did not try to do anything about it... Walked towards bathroom and went upstairs with Cathy. Arnav heard it in nick of time... He knew he did blunder by not being there for her or not trying to understand what she was going through...

"Khushi, open the door" He knocked real loud...

Khushi was shocked to hear his voice...

"What are you doing here? You should be upstairs" Khushi barely managed to reply...

"Just open the damn door" He ordered her...

"What happened?" She was again scared.

"Take this. You will wear this dress along with accessories for today's party. No other dress Khushi. I really mean it. I will see you upstairs." His instructions were loud and clear. He walked off from there...

She did not argue. Wore the dress he gave and went upstairs. Light blue and silver combination long dress with silver clutch, long ear rings and silver stilettoes. She looked gorgeous and her dress matched his shirt...

Lisa and other models saw her and they could see she was wearing one of Arnav's creation... Arnav was happy he could avoid a mishap... He was blaming himself for not thinking through... Hell, his anger had taken over and he even broke up with her...

"What did I do? Why wasn't I thinking? How the hell did I forget she is still very innocent?" his heart chided him...

He saw her walking in... She looked ethereal as usual but her smile was gone. On a closer observation, she looked pale and exhausted. He had not seen her eating or sitting since morning. He was worried...

The show started and just like last time, the new collection was equally hit. The ramp walk ended with all designers walking in the end together with their models... Khushi was super happy to see her friends Ananya and Amit both on the ramp with their own creations... She was so proud of them...

The food service just started along with soft music...

"Khushi, let's eat something" Ananya suggested...

"No, I am not hungry but feel exhausted... Maybe I will go home early" Khushi decided to go...

Arnav did not know what to do in the party to make her feel relaxed or to console her hurt soul. Suddenly he thought about something and pulled Khushi on the dance floor...

The song was slow initially and started to gain the rhythm and momentum... They were both completely lost in each other... Both could see how much they were hurt and in pain... They continued dancing passionately and everyone moved aside watching them dancing so well and zone out completely... Khushi was so exhausted, she could not match up with his aggression and she was almost floating with his speed putting all her weight on him and he was holding her in the air...

He went for deep, passionate kiss at the end of the song... He did it and showed his love for her to the world!! Everyone including Lisa were shocked to see the new version of ASR... He openly showed his affection for her and the kiss was kind of a seal to let the world know he was taken... He was hers... He could feel many cameras capturing their moment!!

He was satisfied... The media will do their job in exposing his relationship with Khushi!! Arnav sure knew how to use media on his side this time!!

He would figure out later between them, how to make her trust that he was hers forever...

Everyone clapped loud after their dance... Arnav tried to look at Khushi and realized she had fainted... Her body felt very warm and he could guess she was running high fever... He didn't care about the after party or people around them... He just picked her up, asked Aman to order some food to be delivered at his apartment directly and walked out of the party...

"Khushi, baby wake up please" Arnav tried to wake her up. She could barely sit up. He gave her water along with tablets to reduce her fever...

"Khushi open your mouth..." He ordered her...

"I am not hungry..." she barely managed to say and started crying...

"Shhh Khushi, we will talk only if you eat..." Arnav managed to feed her dinner.

"Arnav, please have your dinner..." She requested him.

"Sure, I will get water first..." He went and got two glasses of water...

By the time he finished dinner, Khushi had already dozed off... It was due to the sleeping pill Arnav had added in the water... He knew she needed to sleep and rest first! He can wait for her to talk tomorrow... She was back and he will handle every situation between them...

He too dozed off holding her hand...
