She entered the house looking weird with hormonal changes that made her clumsy self more heavier as she carried the bags of vegetables into the house with her baby bump being more prominent. Kabir couldn't manage to convince a mad Nisha who wanted to all these carrying work on her own. To an extent where she threatened her dear husband that she would clean up all the utensils, kitchen, living room and their bedroom on her own if he didn't let her buy veggies from the market.
She was stone stubborn to get what she wanted as her crazy husband hit her nerves for the past few weeks like nothing on earth could. With all the anger rise to the peak, she made her self clear to irritate him just the way he was doing to her.
Trying to behave a little subtle with the situation, Nisha slowly walked into the house with utter irritation flushed in her face. Carrying the little package, that she could ever manage as a pregnant woman; she made her way to the kitchen.
She looked out for the man whom she loved -but hated for the time being for not giving a damn about her. Only if she knew that he tried all he could; begging, cooking, pleasing, pampering, kissing- All he got was a slipper from her side. She rolled her eyes at the thought that trespassed her angry self trying to melt into a concern. No concerns! She tried to remind herself for what that idiot did.
Keeping the package on the slab with a loud thud- she tried to bring his attention to her. Well that wasn't enough. Then, she pulled the glass tumblers out from the cupboard placing each of them with a lound noise onto the slab.
" What do you want Nisha?" she heard his voice, irritated. Was he irritated? Oh well, for the forest he brought inside their home she should be irritated. That made her enrange again. She didnt answer to whatever he asked. What did she look like? An idiot? That was him.She placed those poor little tumblers back with a thud inside the cupboard.
Kabir rolled his eyes, at her obnoxious behavior. That didn't even fit, she was behaving like a mad monkey. Pregnancy could make someone this crazy? This was the beginning - something said in his mind. Sheer terror passed into him as he thought about other glorified avatars that her sassy wife would drape in. This was going to be a hell! Why was she even mad in the first place? Mood swings, that could be the only plausible logic he could think currently. Rest were tangent above his head.
Nisha walked with all parts of anger stepping inside her as she found him water the plants - cum forest in the house. What did he think was he doing anyways? Psycho? God damn ridiculous. Irritation surged inside her blood even more as he hummed some nonsense song.
" What on earth do you think you are doing you bamboo head!" Nisha threw the question unable to hold any more. It took all the patience that she had kept in for the past seven days.
The first day, he just brought three cute little plants. Watering them, talking to them. Cool enough. Next day, he brought some more in his stupid car- may be the whole car. As it continued, he had managed to fill the whole house with green enigma to an extent where, even the kitchen not only kitchen, the toilets looked like a forest. What the hell did that even mean?
Gritting her teeth at those horrendous actions of his, she glared at him for his stupidity.
" Wh- what Nisha?" Kabir looked confused as well as terrorized by the vexing glare she was giving to him.
" Seriously? For the plant obsession that you have gotten into! I am pregnant not you! Why are you making yourself feel like an actual monkey with these plants all over the house?" She asked crossing her arms reaching the zenith of her turbulent irritation making her want to choke his neck. But hold on, he is her husband.
Kabir looked at her wide-eyed. For this? She was behaving like a super-maniac for the plants? He looked all around the place to have a look. The missing part was- branched trees to hang around from one place to another. Suddenly, he felt like laughing at the thought. Then he looked on to her anger lit face, the laugh dried inside his throat.
He looked at her sheepishly not knowing how to explain. Her looks making him more unsteady. He couldn't predict what irritation she carried on at the present. Was it because of her mood swings or was she serious about the whole garden that he planted inside their little sweet home.
" I need an answer!" She yelped. She couldn't stand with his abnormal behavior anymore. She already had doubts of his mental strength. To an extent where thoughts of him being bipolar erupted inside her brain.
" Well" Kabir scratched his head giving a half smile, trying to calm his nervous self down.
" I read in a book that, plants can help pregnant woman, they can mak her happy and nature's beauty will make her more healthy...but you seem to be the opposite" Kabir said looking at her with the same puppy face that he had drawn when he saw her coming with glorified temper.
Nisha looked at him with shock. Shock could be an understatement, it was more than words to describe the feeling that she was drawing inside her. So much for happiness? She burst into fits of laughter after projecting the whole scenario inside her mind. Even a person with clear rational mind like Kabir could step wrong when it came to play logic with love.
Kabir looked more confused than ever. First angry, then stubbornness, then irritation, now she was laughing. He didnt know whether to laugh with her or to be embarrassed. Both came into his conscious mind now. He tried to be rational with no expression, but he couldn't. What on earth was happening? He thought with pure confusion.
" You have no idea how much of an idiot you are" Nisha said between her laughs.
" Nature means, getting out for a fresh walk, getting sunlight and watching green plants you sac bag not to make a persons house a tropical forest" She laughed more at his stupidity. Well, it was cute too for being concerned but in a pathetic way. She lulled at the thought that swooned her head of the idea with which he planted all these pots at home.
Kabir looked more than embarrassed at what she said. Trying to smile sheepishly yet again. He kicked his mind for the wonderful idea that happened to be an epic failure. Rolling his eyes he watched her laughing trying not to get irritated.
" Clean them up before you come to bed ...few are enough" Nisha said smiling walking towards couch to watch TV holding her baby bump.
" Otherwise I'm cleaning them myself" Nisha warned trying to control her fits of laughter that churned in her tummy.
