DRABBLE ONE - DON'T YOU LOVE ME LIKE HIM ?
"Papaaa! Papaaa!"
Shivaay was busy scolding Khanna for letting a salesman without his permission.
"Itne dinon se tum yahaan kaam karte ho lekin abhi tak tumhe har baat dus baar samjhaani kyun padti hai haan? Us salesman ne kaha ki maine usse bulaya hai aur tumne bina check kiye usse ghar ke andar aane diya? Aisa chalta raha to main tumpe bharosa kaise karunga haan?"
Maybe Khanna had not done something very wrong, but it wasn't Shivaay's fault either. Everybody knew how overprotective he was about his family and especially his wife and son, and the Daksh incident had just added to this nature of his. And Khanna knew it, so he did not feel bad about whatever Shivaay had told him till now and quietly kept listening to him.
Shivaay was about to give him another good lecture when 5 year old Ansh came crying to him. Seeing his little boy cry, he sent Khanna away and took him in his lap and they settled on the couch.
"Kya hua mere chhote shiataan ko?"
"Papa woh maine na...", but before he could complete, Ansh hugged his father and started crying again.
Shivaay just hugged him and let him cry for some time, remembering how Anika had once poured her heart out in his arms. A smile crept onto his face.
After a while, Ansh wiped his tears and managed to explain the matter to Shivaay in between his sobs.
"Papa woh maine na...maine na mumma ka favourite vase tod diya."
Shivaay wanted to smile and give him a 'koi baat nahi' kiss, but when he heard the words 'mumma ka favourite vase', his smile disappeared.
"Mumma ka favourite vase toot gaya? Par kaise? Tumhe pata hai na, mumma ko woh kitna pasand tha. Unhe yeh baat pata chalegi to woh to bohot gussa ho jaayegi."
"Papa main kya karoon? Maine knowing knowing nahi kiya."
Shivaay smiled at the fact that his son did not learn how to say 'jaan-boojh kar' yet and his 'knowing knowing' managed to bring a smile on every gloomy face.
He was about to help his son find a solution to the 'very big problem' when Anika came into the room. Seeing his mother, the little boy buried his face in his father's chest.
"Kya hua mere nanhe superman ko haan?"
"Mumma woh...woh..."
"Mumma woh kya?" Anika asked.
Keeping his face buried in Shivaay's chest, Ansh said, "Mumma woh...woh...maine na aapka favourite vase tod diya. Par maine knowing knowing kuch nahi kiya." Saying this he started crying again.
Anika went to him and sitting beside Shivaay, took him in his arms. She hugged him and said, "Vase toot gaya? Chalo koi baat nahi. Waisa vase to ek aur aa jaayega."
Ansh's face lit up. He had never expected such an answer from his mother because everybody knew how dear the vase was to Anika. It was Sahil's first gift to her on her birthday.
"Thank you mumma." Ansh hugged his mother and after giving a peck on her cheeks, he ran out to hear some new stories from his great grandmother.
Anika smiled at him and turned to find an angry Shivaay staring at her.
"Ab aapko kya hua?"
He pulled her towards him and nuzzled her neck. As usual, it turned her cheeks red and she blushed hard.
"Ye bhala kya baat hui?"
"Kyun kya hua?"
"Tumne Ansh ko aise hi maaf kar diya bina kuch kahe. Aur do hafte pehle jab maine galti se , haan, galti se tumhara wristwatch tod diya tha, tab tumne poore teen din mujhse baat tak nahi ki. Manane ki itni saari koshishon ko bhi nakaamyaab kar diya."
"To? Ansh to chhota hai. Par aap? Itne bade hoke bhi aapko cheezein sambhaalni nahi aati." Anika managed to say between her soft moans.
"Bahaane mat banaao. Ek baat to saaf hai. Tum Ansh ko kuch bhi nahi bolti ho chaahe woh kuch bhi karle. Aur mujhe, mujhe chhoti chooti baaton par daantti rehti ho. Kya tum mujhse uske jaise pyaar nahi karti? Main bhi kyun pooch raha hoon, tum to ussise zyaada pyaar karti ho. Tumhaari harkaton se saaf pata chal jaata hai."
Anika smiled and placing a soft kiss on Shivaay's nose and said, "Aap dono mere liye ek jaise ho. Dono ke bina main jee nahi sakti. Mujhe aap dono ki zaroorat hai. Aapko thoda zyaada daant diya to aapne aisa soch liya haan?Phir aisi baatein ki to main aapse kabhi baat nahi karungi."
Shivaay pouted and said, "To bataao, ab se mujhe bhi baat baat par nahi daantogi?"
Anika smiled and placed another kiss on his forehead.
"Aap phirse galti karoge to main aapko phirse daantungi. Par aap promise kijiye, aap mere pyaar ko lekar apne aur Ansh ke beech phir kabhi koi comparison nahi karenge."
Shivaay pulled her into and embrace and kissing her forehead, said, "Achchha theek hai, phir nahi karunga."
Anika smiled and hugged him back.
