So in a month, the prestigious 64th National Film Awards will be announced.

Let's see how good we are with predictions this time. 😉

Nil Battey Sannata was already in last year's national awards race. Therefore, Swara Bhaskar is not mentioned.

My pick: Radhika Apte for Phobia 👏

I am out of touch with Regional movies, still voted for Reginal kalakaar coz none of BW actress are outstanding this year.

Maybe Sairat actress can win?

Could have been Rituparna for Praktan...but heard recently shes involved in some scandal abt a scam so I doubt if they will choose her

I liked Vidya in Kahani 2 and Fatima in Dangal and also Tapsee in Pink...so any of those would be good choice

I really don't buy this off-screen drama impacting your award chances... unless of course its a threat to national security. 😆

However, I heard from Pirated that she wasn't superior in that film compared to let's say Alia's or Vidya's performances.

The thing is the roles in Hindi movies for actresses have improved significantly in the last 5 years. Therefore, with the acting chops + great role, many Hindi actresses are now winning the coveted honor.

In the 90s and '00s... too much emphasis on commercial cinema, didn't give a chance to our ladies to get the top honors. There was an occasional Tabu from mainstream ladies. PC's was after a long gap.

Now the mainstream ladies want to do arty roles... so Vidya and Kangana benefited significantly. Their contemporaries want to follow the suit and get the stamp.
