She'll change her dietary requirements, her household decor and all those materialistic things in the name of change, but she refuses to change her outlook towards life and her attitude because all that stems from her character and nature, and it is difficult for a person to change their nature, so if this GT can't actually change with time by abandoning her backwards thinking, then she needs to stop acting like she's modern and ahead of times, because she acts like a teenage girl trying to compete with her school friends on the latest fashion trends, rather than a mature family matriarch trying to uphold family values and respect in society.
