Again busy with work and travel so might update next chapter after 3-4 days!!

Chapter 27 - Models hovering over ASR at work!!

Couple of trial rounds on ramp were scheduled today and Khushi had too many things at hand before models and all the designers show up... The trials rooms and mini ramp was ready for the models... Soon everyone involved in project started pouring in...

Many of the international models had met ASR before and knew him well... After all he was the ASR!! The biggest business tycoon of Asia and most handsome, eligible bachelor... Obviously it also meant he was the girls' magnet!!

The models were gorgeous was an understatement!! After all they were all international models... They all were tall, at least 5.9" or 5.10", beautiful, perfect figure!! Most of the guys in office were drooling over them where as the girls were drooling over ASR...

All the models were gossiping about ASR, laughing... Handsome, suave, cool, hot, sexy, manly and what not... All the compliments a man deserves were flying in the air for ASR...

Just then ASR came back stage to address the models...

They all rushed to him to personally say hello, some wanted to shake hands while many of them hugged him or kissed him on his cheeks... Some of them took selfie with him!! It was utter chaos... Miss Ruby was not there to save his day and that too in front of Khushi!! Arnav smiled coyly while Aman tried to control the situation and get them to start listening! Arnav was worried about Khushi and watched her closely. She showed no reaction and went inside the dressing room...

"Well girls, all the best. This show is going to be very important for AR, Mehta and Angels Fashion! So we expect nothing but the best... You have been handpicked by our team to walk the ramp and showcase the new fall series... Wish you the best again" Arnav addressed them all in husky voice yet ASR tone...

He signaled Aman to take care of things and moved to the front stage to watch the trial show...

Khushi was really upset to see him surrounded by models like that and their lipstick marks on his cheeks!! Hell, she hated the scene... On top of it, girls discussing about him, yes she had heard it all and absolutely hated it... But she did not show it... How could she when the cat walk was about to start and she was at work place!

She had seen this circus back in AR Designs as well and how ASR enjoyed all the attention from them!! He didn't care back then... But now that he claims to love her, does he care enough for her to stop this and keep the models at bay? She knew he did not do anything from his side, but still she wished he learned to keep a better distance...

She was feeling crazily possessive about him and did not know how to tell him... And why not? After all he was always so possessive about her!!

Khushi went quiet all of a sudden... Arnav was keenly watching her throughout the show... He knew he has to address this issue and talk to her as well as assure her!

Not just jealousy but the insecurities were creeping inside Khushi!! She decided to ignore it for now but she remembered how Shyam always mentioned ASR was Casanova and he has said "Once a Casanova, always a Casanova" the sentence lingered back in her mind after the models used the same word today for Arnav... Why Arnav has to allow all those model to be so over friendly with him? She thought...

Not that Shyam's opinion ever mattered but somehow his dialogue always stayed with her... May be it was more due to her own insecurities! But she felt exhausted and tired after hearing the models whispering about Arnav, joking about his flings in the past and passing dirty and cheap comments...

Amit and Ananya were ecstatic when their designed dresses were showcased by the models!! They kept asking Khushi for her opinion but she just lost interest! She just fake smiled and showed her thumbs up.

She kept herself busy the rest of the day. Even Arnav was busy himself... He had to finalize few more dresses and jackets before they freeze for the second round of project phase and it was daunting task. Arnav was not yet satisfied with couple of show stopper dresses that still needed his touches...

Khushi decided to go home early since she had headache while Arnav stayed back... She cooked simple veggie, lentils and roti. She talked to her jiji for half an hour while waiting for Arnav. Still her mood was off remembering all those comments by models at work...

"Hi Khushi, I am so hungry... so sweet of you to cook something and keep it ready" Arnav rushed to wash his hands...

Dinner was a quiet affair since they both were exhausted by the long day at work... Khushi made coffee and tea as their daily routine and they were standing in the balcony...

"Khushi you are quiet. Are you ok?" Arnav asked Khushi.

"Nothing, just too tired" Khushi did not know how to start the topic and express what she did not like. This was a little sensitive matter and they were not fully in a relationship also...

"Khushi, regarding those models at work, hope you are ok with it. It's their usual style to greet people and common in our industry. But they do not mean a thing to me. I am sure you know it by now and I will sure try to keep them at bay..." Arnav tried to explain.

"Yeah I guess" Khushi just whispered knowing they both were too tired and they had a long day again tomorrow. Thought Khushi did not agree to Arnav's casual point of view on models clinging to him, she chose another day to express her feelings... But he did mention about keeping them at bay! She felt relaxed. She just has to wait and see how it goes in future...

She also had been in the same industry for a year now, especially in Paris most of the time and yet she mastered how to keep distance when needed. He needed to learn it too! It's that simple, she was clear.

He has always been so possessive about her! Will he like her clinging to everyone she meets at work or at fashion shows? Obviously not, she knew it for sure...

Even though he was not going himself out there and entertaining those models, he needs to consider her feelings because they were working together! She was bound to feel jealous and insecure if this happens often in front of her eyes! And she hated those comments the most...

She decided to discuss politely and create some boundaries for them. But only after couple of weeks when hectic designs phase is over...

Angel's chairperson Cathy was visiting the office to discuss progress in phase 2 and attend few meetings next couple of days...

"Arnie, you are becoming a rare sight these days... You have not visited Angel's since ages and not even in our regular night clubs... What's going on? Cathy asked him curiously...

"Nothing much, Cathy. Got sick recently and was admitted to hospital two days after our last party so decided to play safe" Arnav politely informed her. He did not want to disclose his and Khushi's relationship yet until Khushi expresses her love. Plus they had not discussed when to disclose their relationship to people...

"Ah, that explains. Hope you are doing well buddy. Is it your old enemy, sugar?" Cathy asked casually.

"Yes, indeed" Cathy knew he was diabetic from their Harvard days...

"Must be difficult to manage on your own when you eat outside. Or did you appoint to cook for yourself Arnie? Let me know if you need help and I can refer someone" Cathy suggested caring about his health...

"Oh yes, I am being well taken care off. Don't worry" Arnav laughed it off...

Cathy still called and requested her chef to make special broccoli soup and Thai chicken salad for lunch that day and deliver at Mehta House. She wanted to surprise Arnav with delicious yet healthy food so he can enjoy a meal without worrying about his sugar.

"Arnav, what do you want for lunch today? Khushi knocked and came in asking Arnav about lunch. They were coming early and going so late these days that Khushi was missing out on cooking every day.

"Khushi, actually Cathy got us lunch today. So I am all set for today" Arnav was about to have his lunch with Cathy while discussing some of the work related stuff.

Khushi was surprised at his behavior and ignorance towards her. Maybe he was busy and did not think through. She tried to convince herself knowing how he totally gets engrossed in work. But he could have informed, her heart complained...

Cathy was hogging most of his time in last two days while working with Arnav from his office... Plus they studied in the same university so old memories were keeping them entertained...

Khushi was just hanging in there showing lot of patience... She knew, he always said he loved but she had not yet expressed herself and so clearly they were at a vulnerable state in their own relation. And she did not want anything to tick her off or him. But his recent closeness with models and now Cathy was taking a toll on her!!

She was going back into her not so sure, lost mode and he was too busy to reassure her enough!!

That's when Lisa walked in.

I feel you all lost interest in the story due to delays in updates... But I will be regular from now on... And hopeful at least 100++ likes!!

So cheers... The story is getting at an interesting mode where Khushi's insecurities are knocking at the door...

Chapter 28 - In the middle or work and misunderstanding!!

Lisa was Cathy's batch mate and another junior of Arnav from Harvard. Lisa had even bigger crush on ASR and she rather showed it much more aggressively and openly...

"Missed you so much baby... Arnie, you are looking more and more handsome day by day... What's with you?" Lisa commented and pulled him in a hug as soon as she walked in.

Arnav side hugged her and shrugged it off.

"What brings you here Lisa?" Arnav asked curiously...

"Oh, I came in town from London yesterday for a business meet. Usually Cathy and I catch up so I got to know you are here... So came to meet you..." Lisa replied happily.

Arnav was happy to see her. Lisa had carved her name as a great business woman in Europe. She had taken up her father's small business and taken to sky heights within 3 years... She had earned a lot of respect for her sharp business skills and not giving up attitude.

Somewhere with business aspirations, Lisa's personal life had taken a back seat... But when she again met Arnav and knowing he was still single, her heart warmed up... Lisa's mom was an Indian so she knew there won't be any cultural issues as well...

Cathy was happy go lucky girl... But Lisa was different. She knew how to get what she wanted and Arnav was her next target...

"And of course I was here to see if we can align ourselves to do some business together... Arnie, I would love to expand in Asia and you would love to expand business in Europe..." Lisa directly informed him her business agenda.

"Interesting, let's catch up and discuss it later..." Arnav had too many things in hand right now so decided to ponder over Lisa's business ideas some other time...

"No problem... I am here for a week. I am aware that you have another ramp walk of your collection after two days... I would love to attend that. Cathy has already invited me. I am so looking forward to watch your collection live..." Lisa showed her enthusiasm.

"Great, will see you around." Arnav was courteous.

Cathy and Lisa were hopping out for lunch and asked Arnav to join them. He informed Khushi and Mr. Mehta and walked out. Lisa and Cathy both found it interesting for Arnav to inform Khushi so casually and how Khushi and Arnav talked to each other... So not like a boss and PA but more like buddies or even closer... Cathy had even seen him dancing with Khushi... But none of them commented.

"So what's with you Arnie, not heard much about you these days..." Lisa commented trying to dig into his personal life...

"Nothing much, looking forward to focus on Europe market next two years. Going strong with Angels for now and few more major projects in pipe line. Will be busy for sure..." Arnav informed them...

"So no girlfriend, live-in partner in sight? That's so not you Arnie." Lisa commented sneakily. Who did not know about his n number of girlfriends or flings in the past?

"Yeah not any more I guess. But I am at a happy place for sure" Arnav replied casually without exposing the progress in his personal life yet.

Lisa and Cathy could see major changes in their friend. He was more relaxed, happy and peaceful. He still had the enthusiasm and attitude but no longer angry or restless. He had mellowed down a lot... But overall great positive changes and he looked ready to settle in personal life as well...

They came back from lunch. Arnav had lot of work on his mind when he walked in. Lisa spent another hour with Cathy in office. Somehow she was curious about Khushi after the incident 10 minutes ago...

Khushi got Arnav his coffee. Fumbled while walking and coffee spilled a little on her hand. Arnav literally pulled out the cup from her hands, put cold water immediately. His concern for her was more than normal... He kept looking out for Khushi every now and then... As if his eyes were always on her...

Those who were busy at work may not have realized it but Lisa was here with a purpose so she immediately could catch the emotional connection going on between Arnav and Khushi!!

She did not want to let go just yet and wanted to see what is going on?

Another super busy evening or rather late night for Arnav and Khushi to just go home and doze off!!
