what is suman's game plan?

in Mahabharata, after the epic kurukshetra battle, ashwathama-the son of royal teacher drona,visits, dying duryodhana and asks if he can do any last favor to him? to this duryodhana asks him to eliminate the pandava's clan from the surface of earth. as ashwathama also had to settle his personal scores with them, he promise to do it and kills all the five 'upa-pandavas', droupadi's five sons with her five husbands. this makes droupadi vengeful and asks arjuna to kill him. now arjuna is in dilemma coz ashwathama is brahman n killing him is sin. he seeks krishna's advise. to this krishna gives him the solution, "IF YOU CANNOT KILL A PERSON, KILL HIS IDENTITY AND VIRTUE". thus arjuna cuts his "sikha" (the long hair that they sport, if you have watched any mythological shows of india) and removes the 'mani' from the center of his head (it is believed ashwathama is another form of shiva and the mani is his third eye), killing him virtually.

this prologue is parallel to atharv's present condition. first-atharv's identity begins with SUJATHA. suman makes atharv believe he is dying but when that fails, she attacks, abducts and drugs him eventually causing memory loss. when atharv was back she gives him new identity as "RAGHAV SUMAN" killing his original identity. thus she killed him 50%.

but having seen vitharv's magnetic pull to each other, she keeps ready of plan B-attack on atharv's VIRTUE, his promise to vivi that he will forever remain one woman's man. in worst case scenario, if atharv rediscovers his true identity, the fact(?) that he slept with guddi and impregnated her will kill him virtually. this will make him think that he is sinner of guddi (though she is dead to the world, like all the other truths, i know this will also unravel one day) and unworthy of vivi, leaving him forever guilt-ridden. the remaining 50% is thus killed.

with these two acts, she thinks she can forever keep vitharv apart and create a conducive environment for ravish's happy married life with vividha.

I didn't think of the parallel, but now that you've pointed it out, it makes so much sense! Letting go of one's identity to be able to present them as someone else!...
