A summary of everything pissing me off about the show!

1) Had enough of all the dadi memory loss/ amma mai jaap drama.

2) Can't stand baby's nonsense scheming being given too much precedence and taking up too much screen time, which could potentially make a little more space for less focused on characters like yuvani (how on earth is that actress putting up with this show with the next to no screen time she is being subjected to) and so baby's scheming needs to be kept a little bit more to the minimum.

3) Kriyam, who are one of the main reasons people are tuning in to watch this show now post leap being given only a few seconds or a minute of screen space in an episode or none at all with a snail's pace progression in their story. Seriously, do the production house and the writers need to be bribed in order to get the memo that kriyam are what the viewers want?

4) Dadi, even after so long is still the same insufferable, racist and cold-hearted old hag she was when the show first started with no character development or justification to her characters actions ever being given, and her hatred for suhani, which is grounded in nothing but colour bias needs to stop. Make her more human and more positive already. She doesn't need to be made all out positive, just make her more softer towards the other characters so she's more bearable.

5) Missing characters from the show that should be there but have disappeared into the indian serial writer's bermuda triangle of plot holes. Where is ragini? Where has bhavna's kid disappeared to? And much like Dadi, ragini also has had little character development over the years and is still unbearable and lacking in emotions.

6) Suhani going from becoming the most lovable and positive character in the show to now being heavily disliked by the fan base. How on earth is it that the same woman who was loved by the fan base of the show is probs one of the least liked characters after the villians themselves? Even ragini is less hated than suhani now. Oh that is right, because post the whole sambhav molestation track, they made her character into a self-pitying woman and a judgmental and biased mother. I'm clearly not the only one getting increasingly pissed off with suhani being overtly motherly and pampering towards her son yuvan who she has already spent her max time with and sidelining her daughter yuvani who never really got her love, then doesn't seem to be even making an effort to bond with her other son whose life she ruined by punishing and judging him for the crimes not he, but his father did. Why has suhani become such a dreadful and ignorant mother? Suhani needs to stop acting like her son yuvan is the ideal son who can never make a mistake just because he was raised by her and she needs to give more attention to yuvani and saiyyam who she has constantly neglected.

7) I'm still wondering which idiots idea it was to shift the show's time slot to 5pm-5:30pm, a time where absolutely nobody has the time to watch tv? The ratings of the show were so good before the time slot change and now look what has happened? The ratings dropped below 1.0 trp right after the change.

The only good points i can give to the show are that after all the sambhav fiasco the show is showing a little bit more light-hearted scenes although these are quite few, and i really like when they infuse comedy into the scenes so i'm less distressed watching the episode considering all the scheming and plotting becoming more unbearable to watch by the day, and the increase in yuvaani (yuvraj-suhani scenes), as well as the major turnaround of yuvraj's character. He was by far one of the dumbest and most annoying characters and has now just completely changed for the better...the only character who is nothing like he used to be from when he was first introduced and that too the change is being well-loved by the fans.

You have raised excellent points and basically what a lot of the viewers are feeling. I honestly think Kriyam needs to be their focus. I feel if more people watch Kriyam they will love the jodi like we have. They will get more viewers and more fans. How is it that Dadi still isn't happy with YuvAnis marriage after over 20 years together?? They're just repeating the same old story again with that. It's time to give the kids more focus, isn't that the point of the leap? Obviously we still want YuvAni but we can still have their scenes. We really need to see them spend more time with their kids.

I can't understand sp reason for the slot change. Unless they have decided that they will end SSEL soon so they will give them the earlier slot knowing very well that the ratings will drop and then they can give a reason to drop the show? That's the only reason I can think of. There are dramas that have been around for years going around in circles and storylines are getting more and more ridiculous, yet there's no sign of slots changing or going off air. YRKKH had a leap and is now focused on the kids and have gained even more of a fan following because of the young couple. I honestly feel this may be the way SSEL needs to go in order for TRPs to increase especially at the terrible slot of 5pm.

I highly doubt SP changed SSEL time slot because they wanted to take it off air by giving it an early time slot to decrease its trps to justify taking it off air. SSEL was recording trp's of 1.8+ so for them to want to take it off air by changing its time slot seems silly considering there are shows recording much lower trp's. SSEL's trp's have either been high or a good average, but never abysmally low that the channel would want to end it. There's definitely something else because i honestly don't understand why they would make the stupid decision of moving one of their shows that has one of the best trp's on their channel to a new really bad time slot to give the shows original time slot to a completely new show whose content is not only extremely boring but also from the beginning had less chances of raking in trp's due to it having a boring concept with a lack of a star cast. Apart from being bribed or being put on gun point 🤣 i can't think of any other reason why they would give suhani si ek ladki's time slot to that boring new show meri durga, and that too willingly; that's an obviously poor business decision

You've pointed out some really good points there. Tbh, I actually don't care much about the rest, the only reason of mine to watch this show are KriYam. But I've to second you when it comes to all that annoying dadi-sher-baby drama and ofc lack of KriYam scenes :(
btw, are any of you on twitter and would like to join us in trending #SSELiveat5

I dunno if there's much we can do when it comes to the slot change but trending it on the social media would for sure make both the CVs and the channel realise that this show has a strong fanbase. One never know this might led to slot change too.

oh, I absolutely agree with you on each and every point!

I don't get why so much importance is given to Dadi. I understand she is the eldest and everyone respects her but the game plotting she does is SO out of order. At her age, most people get involved in religious activities, do some charity work or some contribution to society.. (at least in India) but she is busy kicking out her grandson's wife?! 🤪 Even her grandson's children are married 🤣 She acts like a 5 year old with zero experience of life.
What goes on in that woman's head is something beyond my understanding. By kicking out Suhani, what is she trying to prove? will she find another bride for Yuvraj 🤣 What "respect" will she have left in the so-called society?

I don't even want to comment on Baby. She is not worth my words. lol

And yes, Rags is still fighting for her "no1 Bahu" spot in Dadi's eyes 😆 She's failed miserably in life, still not a favourite bahu. Where is her husband? What is her motive in life? She treats Yuvaani as her child but she teaches her wrong things...

Yesss, Yuvraj has changed so much! His life completely took 360 degree turn. I love him! His journey started with an immature boy who believed that love is beauty, then slowly turned into a caring husband and now a responsible father. ❤️
