Hey all i have been a silent reader of the forum from quiet long now. I generally don't like to post or express myself much but today with lots of courage I am making a post here. This courage comes from my love i have for Shivaay and Ishqbaaaz. He is certainly my favourite male lead on tv and ishqbaaaz my favourite show currently. It has done awesomely written characters and a great plot ( I know not all will agree with me).
The family politics is the most interesting part of the show and each member of the family r unique. Obviously the O bros are my favourite members of this wierd family. It always amazed me that inspite of being bought up in the same family all three of them shivaay omkara and rudra are different from each other and yet they love each other soo much and always support each other even if they don't fully agree with eachother. ( that happens with me and my sister's too)
Shivaay the one who thinks that naam khoon khandan is all that matters and that is the basic requirment for any relationship coz that is what he has seen since his childhood ( ab pinky jaisi mom ho to aisa hi hoga na). He knows that today his family is together only because of money and power. Poor soul has done so many things to hold his family together. He always thinks of his family first before himself and does not care what others think of him ( common yaar he is ready to become a chor for his brother ). He can do anything (literary anything) for his brother's and family without any second thoughts if or buts ( that's why I love him). This is where ishqbaaaz is different coz its a male character and not the female character who keeps the family together.
Omkara is then completely opposite of shivaay. He has seen her mother suffer coz of his father and hence thinks that all big families and upperclass people are like that. He for wanting to be different became an artist. He believes in truth and relationships built through heart and feelings and not on some agreement because he has seen his parents shattered marriage. ( I really respect his ideologies and adore him too) . Ofcourse he is not the same now but the basic values don't change that easily. He has not changed but he is forcing himself to change coz he thinks that's the only way he can deal with what's happening in his life.
And the jaan of this trio, our very own Rudy. Woh to bachha hai, who has always been protected from everything. Mr dumbel oberoi only thinks of his muscles and girls. He is the pampered one and knows that his brother's will always protect him. But I love how yeh bachha bada ho raha hai (bilkul apne bhaiyyo jaisa ban raha hai). He was ready to marry chaddhas daughter for the sake of his family. Aur badde hote hi saare blame soumya pe daal diya. ( bachhe hi man ke sachhe hote hai suchme).

And Annika is my favourite female lead. She is strong, independent and yet has her own weaknesses. I love her language (esp michmichi). She is an orphan who has made best of her life and stood strong always. Her weakness is only love whether it is for his brother or for shivaay ( I agree with her). She is from a lower middle class yet is modern and not narrow minded. The best thing is she is not mahan and would always reply back but she is not rude.
As everbody I am also very fond of lovestories and I today shivika are my favourite. They r hilarious and I love their nokjhoks. Dono me se koi kam nahi hai takkar ke hai dono tadibaaz. I love how OmRu teased shivaay ( bhai ho to aise). It was shown from the beginning that shivaay always got affected by annika. Om is so right ki nafraat akele kabhi itni gehri nahi ho sakti. I really like the basic plot of their story nkk conflict and don't want anything to be rushed. I want shivaay first to accept his feelings for annika whole heartedly and then confess. These two make me blush smile laugh and cry. I know it's a long way to go and I am not in any hurry.
Also excited for gaurika and rumya love stories.
Ishqbaaaz is an addiction and I love it.
