Fatima Sana Shaikh beats Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor to bag the lead role in Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's Thugs Of Hindostan?
If the rumours are to be believed then Fatima will be playing the female lead in YRF's much-awaited period drama

It was a fight between Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor to play the female lead in YRF's upcoming film, Thugs Of Hindostan that stars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. But it looks like Fatima Sana Shaikh, who impressed everyone with her stellar performance in Dangal might just beat Alia and Shraddha. According to a report in a tabloid, the producers are strongly considering her for this one.
The casting of the female lead has been a talking point from quite sometime now. First we heard that Vaani Kapoor was approached for the role in this much-awaited period drama. Then we heard about Shraddha Kapoor having given a look test for the film. This came as a surprise because Shraddha and YRF had an alleged fallout after she starred in their film Luv Ka The End. Rumours were also rife that Alia has come on board for this project. And now with Fatima's name popping up, the confusion has reached to a new level.
But then again, the reports of she being considered for the role are not surprising given the fact that Fatima is currently interning with Aamir post the release of Dangal. We also hear that while Aamir wants Fatima to play the female lead, the makers are still betting on Vaani. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs Of Hindostan is slated to release in Diwali 2018. Aamir has unveiled his look from the film and is flaunting it at several events off late. So while we wait for an official confirmation on the female protagonist in Thugs Of Hindostan, tell us whom are you rooting for? Vaani, Alia, Shraddha or Fatima?
