Great chapter(s)...I'm glad that he listened to her suggestion to tell the family and share some precious moments with them. Poor Annika...she loves him...but has no expectations either...for his reciprocation...for him to love her equally. I think he respects her...but we have yet to see what's in his heart aside from guilt. Looking forward to more.😛

Part 8: The Chaos Of The Heart.

He stares in blank space. Moves towards the bed and lies down on the bed, engrossed in his thoughts.

After a good nap of 30 minutes, he was walking up and down his room and talking to a client on the phone. As he ended the call Om came in.

Om-"Mishra left these for you." He said swaying the papers in air.

Shivaay sighs and takes it.

Om-"Quiet important I guess"

Shivaay- "Yes."

Om-"Did she say yes?" he spoke, his face straight. His eyes in anger.

Shivaay saw him and understood, he knew they were divorce papers."I will make her sign it."

Om-"Not again Shivaay! Please don't force her yet again. "

Shivaay, his voice breaking -"I forced her into this, I will force her out of this!"

Om-"Shivaay you are doing nothing of that sought. Yo cannot force her to compile as per your wishes.! She is a human, usko haq hai apne decisions khud lene kaa..tu uske liye decide karne wala koi nahi hota!" he spoke in rage pointing his finger at his brother.

Shivaay-"I m compelled to Om..you don't understand, mere saath wo kabhi kush nahi reh paayegi.! You don't even know maine uss ke saath kya kya kia hai, agar tu jaanega naa Om then even you will say that the Divorce is the best thing!"

Om-"Tujhe seriously lagta hai, wo tere bina kush rahegi, aur tu uske bina! Why don't you see it Shivaay, she loves you as much as you love her.

Shivaay meets his brother's eyes.

Om-"Yes. I know ki tum dono ek doosre se bahut pyaar karte ho. Main kya sab jaante hain tum dono ko chod ke. Aur aisa kya kia hai tune uske saath ? Kya galat kiya hai tune uske saath?" he speaks out unable to understand why his brother couldn't just accept what was and Let go the past.

Shivaay was fearful of the consequence, but speaks up-"Maine..

He was cut off by AniKa's voice.

Anika-"Omkara wo..Jhanvi aunty tumhe dhoond rahi hain!" She says looking sharply at Shivaay.

Om nods and leaves,

Anika turns at Shivaay, her eyes questioning him.

Shivaay din't know what to say.

Anika-"Kuch baatein humaare beech rahe toh theek hain, Shivaay!"

Shivaay could see she was hurt-"I dint mean to hurt you..main bas Om ko explain..!"

Anika-"I know. Wo aapke haath ,mein kya hai!"

Shivaay sees the divorce papers. Om's words echo in his ear and he sees her, memories of the time they spent together hit him. His heart and mind were fighting. He slowly extends the papers towards her, she looks at him skeptically.

Shivaay for the first time was questioning his own decision, because his heart disagreed with his mind.

"Just give her the papers and be done Shivaay, you don't deserve her!" said on voice.

"Don't let her go Shivaay, she needs you more than you need her." said the other.

Anika-"Itna kya soch rahe hain!"

Shivaay utterly confused-"Wo kuch samajh nahi aa raa hai..!"

Anika-"Daadi kehti hai, Jab kuch samaj nahi aaye naa toh apne dil ki suni chaaiye, kyunki dimaag galat ho sakta hai, Dil nahi!"

Shivaay got his answer.

The fog now disappeared, the rays of the sun shone brightly.

Shivaay-"Wo yeh papers, galat hai, inko correct karna hai!"

He smiles and leaves, much too Anika's bafflement. Did she just see him smile to himself, that when the papers were wrong! Normally, he would have fired a few people by now for the wrong papers but here he was smiling at the fact that the papers were wrong?

It was 6 in the evening, all the members of the family stood dressed at their best, as Shivaay had sent word asking them to, including Anika.

All were wondering what Shivaay was upto, none had a clue. Anika was more restless than ever. Whenever he did things this way he never failed to shock. The very he called a surprise!!

She wondered what announcement did he have to make today that he had called for media.

Shivaay came down the stairs, his head held high, his manner majestic.

But what followed was much of the unexpected.

He had revealed to the media that Anika was his Wife. His lawfully-wedded wife! He threw enough evidence at them to accept the truth, thanks to Khanna those existed.

He walked up to her held her hand, and introduced her as Mrs.Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

Anika was to overwhelmed and lost, the entire situation was hard for her to digest. She dint utter a word, neither did she spare him a single glance. While he waited for the same. The media was dismissed at once after a few pictures of the couple.

The family was happy and congratulated the couple.

After a silent dinner, all left for their respective rooms.

The moment Anika entered the room she felt his eyes on her. She dint take the effort to raise her eyes and meet his. She took the clothes for the night and disappeared to change. Now, he was way confused than ever. Why was she behaving this way? Wasn't she happy? What is bothering her? he thought.

As soon as he heard the door click he turned, she quickly got in the bed to sleep. He was impatient now.

He crawled on to the bed and sat."Anika"

No response.

"Anika, we need to talk!"

He repeated it once again.

She got up and sat up facing him."Boliye kya bolna hai aapko" looking the other way.

"Look at me Anika!" he exclaimed his annoyance growing.

She din't. He shifted closer. Raised his hand to her face and turned her head towards him." Main baat kar raha hoon.!"

Her eyes had pain. He saw it clearly.

"Anika!" he gulped.

She sighed" Kya kehna hai jaldi boliye mujhe neend aa rahi hai!"

Shivaay-"Tum ne kuch nahi bola!"

Anika-"Soo?"

Shivaay-"Bolo..!"

Anika-"Kya?"

Shivaay lost is composure now -"I want you to react all right.! You wanted this right. Being my wife. You are!"

Anika looked up at him,her pain shooting. "Main ...!" she sighed. "Mujhe abhi kuch nahi kehna hai..!" tears flooded down breaking the dam walls.

He hushed her and wiped her tears. She just put his hands away and slept, annoying him further.

"Tum chahti kya ho!"

Anika-"Kuch nahi" she presses her lips to refrain from crying, she turns , her tears wetting the pillow.

Shivaay-"I just don't get this. Tumhe Divorce nahi chaiye, patni nahi bana tumhe chaiye kya?!"

Anika screwed her eyes shut and didn't respond.

He turned the other way and slept in anger.

"Kis pe karun zaahir
Hain dard kya aakhir
Kyon sukoon mujh se khafa
Betaab lamhon mein
Benaam aashqon mein
Yeh aaks kis ka ban gaya
Gum ko aazmaane de
Dil ko chot khaane de
Kya h chale kuch to pata"

Bechara Shivaay abhi kya kar diya! Uski situation bilkul 'peeche kuaa, aage meri khaai' jaisi ho gayi hai 😆 Divorce toh wrong, media ko bole toh wrong. Lekin Anika ko kab bolega stupid! Hamara buddhu SSO 😆
