Shocking! Korean celeb says he hates fans N they make him want to PUKE

So I came across this article and it got me thinking, does my bias also think like this? It's so disappointing and upsetting for fans to see their idols bad mouth them. I would hate to be Hwayoun's fan, thank god I never knew about this dude. LOL. Anyway, he's being kicked out of boys24 (his band) and will most likely be unemployed from now onwards... BOYS24 member Hwayoung is at the center of massive controversy after a leaked audio clip has him berating fans.

In the leaked audio, Hwayoung talks about how he hates being called "oppa" by fans. While the initial statement could be considered rude but harmless, he goes on to mercilessly attack fans and describes how he hates hi-touch events that occur after concerts.

BOYS24 was created to be the successors to girl group I.O.I and debuted through their own male version of CJ E&Ms reality show, Produce 101.The group was separated into four units by CJ E&M with Hwayoung being placed in the "Sky" unit.

Hwayoung was first a trainee at SM Entertainment, though he left the company soon afterward.

Since the clip was leaked, BOYS24 has made an official statement through their agency, CJ E&M about the group. The statement reveals that Hwayoung will not be attending the groups next event on Friday, February 10th.

I like being called oppa, not when I hear it from fans though, I f**king hate that. Ya, f**k. It's so annoying when we do the Hi-Touch.

You know, the Hi-Touch? Like when you hold hands and greet fans after the concert is over. Everyday I go through like 700~800 people and I feel like I'm going to puke.

Their f**king breath smells like shit.

This guy is just 21 and he must have spoken those words in ignorance of newly found fandom. Fault lies with him having a disloyal girlfriend who recorded it and leaked it after having a break up with him. SK's drink and consume meat so much, ofc they would smell worse, I understand him.

I guess so many actors and idols must have felt the same as the frustration inhibited in them by their crazy fans is real. SK's are overtly crazy over celebs. Why can't they just admire their work!! Why should they stalk, obsess and control the lives of celebs!!

Yunho was once poisoned by an anti-fan and he could have died but all he could was forgive as the fans would become crazy that he is a great person like an angel who would have a big heart and anti-fans could rage at him again at any moment.

I feel Indian celebs are really lucky as they can live lavishly while earning crores and still do whatever they want in their lives, date/marry whoever they want.

I agree with your points.. it's not that all celebs always love their fans no matter what they do.. no matter how polite celebs try to behave, obsessive fans are aways there.. esp because they are young teenagers..

I feel sorry for South Korean celebs. They really r so much dominated by their agencies. They r forced to go for those high touch events , even if they do not want to. To be a popular celeb u do need agencies in South Korea else u won't survive. This strong hold Agency culture where Celebs and Fans r treated as mere commoditities is really bad .

As for this Celeb who made statement and was unlucky to get it recorded and leaked . Will say Boy be careful in choosing your GF next time .

Now coming to South Korean fans , well i won't criticise them in fact I empathise with them as we have similar fans in India who stand at gates of Celebs and wait for their glimps as though they r some Gods !!
