Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone: The dream sequence that never was in Padmavati!

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali squashed the rumours the next morning by saying that he was not planning to shoot any sequence between Ranveer and Deepika.

After Hrs reported on Nov 6 about the possibility of dream sequence between real life lovers Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in Padmavati.

It was a speculatory piece, which clearly said that there "may be" a scene. It was not a confirmed fact.

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali squashed the rumours the next morning by saying that he was not planning to shoot any sequence between Ranveer and Deepika. It was just wishful thinking on part of the couples' fans. The director reiterates once again that there is no scene with Alauddin Khillji and Padmavati in his film.

Says a source from the film unit, "There is no distortion of historical facts. SLB has two reputed historians who consult on the script. He has also acquired rights of a few relevant books and he wants to tell the story of Rani Padmavati's courage and fight for her honour. It is a film that will make the world appreciate the true Rajput sentiments."
