While I understand Vandana's concern for Arjun (Because of her blind faith in Pandit Ji's, or more like selective hearing where she only chose to hear the BAD part of what he said), I am highly disappointed in her behavior at the wedding. She acted like one of those typical regressive women that come to their son's wedding and ask him to get up from the altar and leave. As if, leaving is his prerogative the girl has NO rights?

She KNEW that Ashwin had abused Maya and also Jhanvi. That their marriage had not been happy. That they had lived separately. But she still "Chose" to accept what Ashwin said about Maya? If your Father abuses you daily, would you not stick a knife in his leg when you finally get the chance to defend yourself? Even if it was not in defense, but in aggression, what do you expect from someone who was ill-treated for many years? That she will put a garland around Ashwin's neck and give him a hug? Like seriously, that lady needs a REALITY check!

Her attitude proved the narrow-minded approach of many have towards people who have mental issues or were abused and therefore are not fully "Normal" in their behavior or reactions. You can't expect them to be either. What I found disgusting was her "Intolerance". Also, she told the TRUTH. She said to Suman "If only Arjun had not met Maya, if only his marriage was with Saanjh". THAT is the REAL issue here. She was always biased against Maya. She never wanted her in Arjun's life. She only wanted Saanjh. So even if Maya didn't have these issues she would still dislike her. That is a given. Her reactions are also so OTT!

Before this marriage stuff, sometimes Vandana's behavior irritated me. But now she disgusts me with the way she acts. It's not coz I want Arjun and Maya to be "End game" or whatever. Everyone who has read my posts here know that I am not in this for couple shipping, even though I think they look good together. I am just disgusted by Vandana's narrow-minded and mean attitude towards a girl who was abused by her Father and even to this date harassed by him. She has ZERO sympathy for Maya as a person and I find that shocking and disturbing. Even Saanjh cares a lot more about Maya. To be Saanjh is a 1000 times better person than Vandana could EVER be. She should learn something from her favorite!

Well said.. Regressive she is for sure and more because of her understanding and attitude of someone who could be suffering from depression and mental health issues. This is one of the several other issues she uses to strengthen her belief and convince everyone around her including Arjun that Maya is not the right girl for Arjun.. she was hoping kundlis won't match so she can stop the wedding.. now when that did not work she chose to latch onto everything Ashwin says against Maya.. conveniently ignoring the other side of the story.. Vandana's only issue with Maya is that Maya is not Saanjh.. Maya is powerful..she is intimidating, rich and influential who has her son wrapped around her finger.. Maya is not the girl next door Vandana can get comfortable with and have happy family Sunday meals with like she can have with Dusky.. she is so judgmental, it irritates the hell outta me..
