JNDSD~ My Take ~7.2.17~ Frostbite
In relationships, sentiments lying in cold storage can pack both the heart , the mind and if not thawed in time can in turn freeze the soul itself. Frost bite is the freezing of body tissue, usually skin due to prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. Within this episode ,the condition or term came to my mind seeing the interaction between Atharv and Vividha. A certain kind of burn and tingle that comes in freezing conditions. Humans can turn hot, luke-warm ,cold and frigid.
The vast snow riddled frozen magnificence reduces them into two mites against the backdrop of natures presence where the law of elements gives equal treatment to all living species .Their status and circumstance matters not. Only that they are destined to be here in the snow clad disputed area. Talking of disputes some pending ones turn Vividha's manner frosty, as shows in the unenthusiastic manner in which she meets Atharv. It's almost paradoxical how their heated war of words keeps their body temperatures raised even under sub zero weather conditions. Suddenly the still snow cradled valley between the imposing snow clad mountains becomes the firing zone of heated grievances from Vividha's side. It's about making ,taking and carrying out her decisions and Atharv will have to leave it at that! She finds it harder to throw him off her than she did the soldiers. They due to decorum abstained from use of force . However Atharv's equally frosty logic bites into her protests! hell bent he is too ! to persuade her to move from the line of control! In reply, fire combats fire! as she digs her heels in the snow! Atharv ,reacts with rightful force over her! which Vividha of course in a fit of blood boiling anger fights down. Along with it comes the tumbling down rumbling avalanche of her bottled up grievances against Atharv in the form of complains. His doubtful distrust in her killed her before the ice ,hoar and the big freeze can! He can deduce she too has developed icy deposits of sentimental coldness that freezes his insides. Only he has the power to ignite the love that needs to subjected through the thawing process.. a melt down!
Water off a duck's back! He has to see his words will not make any difference to her! Atharv reveals not her but him too will now trudge through the frigid zone of this vast ignorance .. the great cold wilderness where both now suffer from lack of information where Ravish is??Atharv survives the blizzard of her remonstration! But her icy thaw takes time. For what passionate love is complete without the beloved giving the lover a bit of a chase! So off stomps Vividha in the opposite direction to him! His bellows of soft snow ! danger falls to self Vividha's deaf ears! The heat of rage which even the snows fails to cool off , makes her see her Atharv, as an obstruction to her fulfilling the task of her mission impossible! Vividha will you stop your plodding away from him and think! that Atharv s presence here spells support for what she is doing and wants to be part of the mission search Ravish! But from where he is he can see her melt down has began but still has icy crystals on her attitude ,making her love sound opaque to him rather than transparent! Tarry! Vividha hark and listen to Atharv .. too much cold causes burns... his initial frosty indifference of recent now causes caustic burning especially so Vividha!! But he will not let go off her!
At home Suman frigidly spurns with bitter haughtiness all the warm efforts Sujata makes in common concerns in both acts of family obeisance for the safety of their children. Sujata's need for support from Suman a mother in a likewise situation was received frostily to the extent of throwing her out in the cold! Only Ravish being given water torture treatment viral video aims by terrorists to take away peace ! but eventually it unites the mothers Uma, Sujata, Suman in prayer! For the safety of their children rather then bicker over past events.
Stopped short in her snowed down tracks! veered by hand of destiny! Out here too like always she was his responsibility. He somehow could always see right through her impulses! Could always preempt her forthcoming hazards. So well he knows her. Even now as she runs from him, his heart thumps, his foots steps weigh down into the snow.. only as his eyes behold the inevitable damage! Vividha trips, rolls and the next thing ! treacherous frozen invisible ice devours her into subzero frozen waters! They will live together and if her body turns cold in the frozen quagmire of a death trap, than his will follow too.. together to their watery grave.. but their time has not come yet! Vividha's savior saves her.. it's meant to be. But it will not be an easy task! The course of true love is by far never easy. But Atharva will fight all and everything to keep his love alive. The elements is what he is up against this time not humans. The elements too have their own moods, mild and temperate in spring , hot and scorching in summer, mellow and mature in autumn ..and Atharv looks around the snow around.. and relentless and harsh in winter ! her shivers, her slipping into drowsiness are tell tales of Vividha's usually low body temperature! His jacket of protective love is placed upon her trembling drenched body. Suddenly the wound up girl not so long ago, was fast drifting into hypothermia! She was his life source .. the reason for his very being .. yet presently he matters not! he has to restore warmth to her before she is freezes to death.. in his arms he carries her to an seemingly abandoned hut to restore life back to her..
Hypothermia..a dangerous drop or rising a notch in true love? will his love be enough to revive her? in spirit or in body? Atharv in deep waters! a difficult and complicated situation.. the need of the hour is to bring her body temperature high enough for her to live! The whole world grants them privacy. Here lies before him half dead.. the woman he lives for, and now he could die another death yet again for her. She needs her wet clothes peeled off to avert the freezing deathly daggers that turn her blood cold. The one death Atharv dreads is the cold death of morality. For she was the woman his soul worships. The passions of the body cannot defile the sanctity and purity of their eternal love.Thus his ginger,hesitant, awkward hands remove the drenched cold garments. His eyes and face disassociate themselves with the task of his palms. Such is Atharv's respect for an unaware Vividha. He lights the fire to revive her body heat , but its dancing flames ,also light up a woman's virtues of chastity and a man's faithful, yet bridled passion.
Change of clothes, change of tack, but no change in their love. Atharv gives in to her demands, they now move onwards across the border to seek Ravish! In other words it's Atharv stance his way! or no way! ... but in the end it's the way that both want! Vividha spirit calls to Ravish.. not long Ravish .. we are coming Ravish ,we are coming! With Atharv by her side.. her I changes into we..
The references to two key elements water and fire are well exploited in the episode Water .. in many forms is shown in below freezing conditions snow ice, original from transparent liqiuid , in boiling point temperature , like tea. Water douched on Ravish s face in captivity and forms of water in sub zero temperature is symbolic of the iciness in Vividha and Atharv s emotions in the start of the episode. Then fire is used, and is symbolic of their love..of rising passions; a presence of a heavenly being guarding the lives of both Atharv and Vividha.. hamlet53 8.2.17
