I read this interview of Jamie Dornan somewhere that he did get aroused while shooting a love scene for a tv show and it got so awkward that he had to apologise to his costar later on 😆 but most of the actors say that the don't get aroused coz it's unprofessional plus there is too much pressure and retakes happening it's not half as romantic as it looks onscreen. And then there is a Ranveer who does admits to getting turned on by such scenes 😆 depends upon person to person I guess.

I'm sure they get turned on..even if they don't admit it. It may be technical and even embarrassing at times, but they're only humans. I think it's very easy for them to hide behind the whole "we're professionals, it's so technical, embarrassing, you're sweating, gross etc.." but, in reality I'm sure they do.

It's like people in other jobs..you get attracted towards your coworkers many times..but then have to "keep it professional."

Anyhow, a lot of the American TV shows that depict lovemaking/sex scenes, the men usually wear a "cock-sock" to prevent things from getting unprofessional and avoid premature accidents. Pretty sure that these scenes are usually filmed on a closed set with essential personnel present though.

Actually, I don't think love-making scenes are filmed with 100s of ppl around. Like the above poster mentioned, just essential personnel.

And a lot of actors do get aroused. I remember there's this 1 actor whose interview I read and he said that before shooting love scenes, he always apologized to his co-stars in advance for if he ended up being aroused/ ended up being not aroused (LOL). I think it was Ewan Mcgregor? Not sure tho.

And I think a lot of it is pretty technical. I remmber watching a BTS of brooklyn decker and patrick wilson (i think?) filming a sex scene, and it's just really weird and awkward b/c like during the love-making, one assistant was literally spraying Wilson w/ water to make it look like he was sweating LOL.

^^That was Samuel L Jackson!! 🤣 On the Graham Norton show when Keira Knightey was talking about the strange instructions Joe Wright gave her on her sex scenes with Jamesie in my DP! Samuel was so hilarious the way he said this! 🤣

I don't know too. LOL it must be embarrassing to shoot intimate scenes in front of so many people and God forbid if you require a retake. 😆 It must be more difficult for guys though I suppose.
