Aamir Ali takes a break from his boy-next-door image to play a tapori in Kucch Is Tarah

Looks like Aamir Ali is tired of his good-boy roles. After playing the quintessential boy-next-door Anurag in Kya Dil Mein Hai, he is now all ready to do a Tapori act in Ekta Kapoor's Kucch Is Tarah.

Ali plays Guru, a tapori who bails out the leading lady Dimple Jhangiani aka Kanya, when Akashdeep Saigal aka Ranbir creates trouble in her life.

Aamir Ali says, "I have already started shooting for the show. Balaji wanted a character who comes to Kanya's rescue. I will be making an appearance in the show very soon. However, it will be a cameo and not a full-fledged role."

He adds, "I have never played a tapori before. I am eager to see how the audience reacts to my character, Guru in Kucch Is Tarah."

Says Sachita, creative head of the show, "We had introduced the character of Guru long time back but not shown his face. At present, when Kanya is facing some problems due to Ranbir, Guru comes to her aide. We wanted someone who could match Akashdeep's stature and felt that Aamir suited the role perfectly."
