JNDSD~ 2nd February 2017~ my most trusted choice..

In life our preference is invariably going for options that speak to us of reliability, durability and security .Thus the choices and selections we endeavor to take requires our serious consideration, especially in the areas that mark mile -stones in our life , like choosing a career , marriage and starting a family. Whilst we pick our choices, another thing that has a bearing upon what decide upon is implications around a choice. Like in choice of career of joining the armed forces apart from active duty either in command centre or the border. Army family lives are exposed to robust moving and transfers and may have suggest disruptions in the children's education due to parental posting.

First reference to home ,building , a person's residence, dwelling . Accommodation may implicate a person's social standing in society . Interesting the house on paper now belongs to Atharva but Ravish s names suggestions to the world that the house is his, his territory , his name signifies it. The door bell a symbol to announce one's arrival or asking to be let in. Crossing the threshold . Vividha's foot falters. This step could simply imply, her crossing over to Ravish s side. Pressing the bell , asking to to be let into his life. Willingly, shows personal will and not being pushed into it. Vividha realizes this physical move implies making a choice. The realization that her step forward , may be seen as a culmination of all that Atharva quizzed about. Her leanings towards Ravish. It will give a clear message, so now she takes a step back from yesterday's heated discussion between them and is able to see its implication. It' s like outside Ravish house.. it rings a bell! her bond with Atharva.

Stepping into this house has implications that Vividha can vouch for. For me it's a daunting step she takes. Suman receiving her, makes Vividha think back of the slap and chastisement she received at the hands of this woman ,just before she left this place. Now that contrasts with her joy, relief at seeing Vividha. Suman's words, things might have changed but the house remains the same, are gracious words, But the implication is woolly, as Suman perfect host chivvies her in..and assures the rather gingerly Vividha that for her to bear angst against Vividha is not just being unjust but stupidity on her part too! again what is the implication here? reassuring Vividha giving her hope no hard feelings , or telling her that she doesn't mind picking up things from where things were left off??? Atharva not being in the picture probably makes Suman assume that things might not be as they seem between Vividha and Atharva ,especially when its Vividha who makes up an excuse for his absence.. it may also implicate that Atharva wishes to maintain a distant relationship with Ravish rather than the separated brothers emerging as a united force bond!

Uma probes Atharva, buy stating the obvious.. their strong is bond ,they never fall out. To me she does so, so he can challenge her statement and he does! mention things might be subject to change thus implicating appearance of hairline fissures in the edifice of their relationship.. was uma looking for such a reaction from Atharva, to access the effect of recent events on their relationship? She sticks by what she said earlier ,it's the children's decision..

Sujata too underplays, but her words to Vividha suggest positivity . that any changes Vividha senses in hers and atharva's relationship. its merely her illusion . Sujata's tone implies empathy to her, hence Vividha shares, that the man doesn't trust her despite her waiting for him all this time. In the Worst of times she only looked out for Atharva , so much so even hurt a good man like Ravish for Atharva's sake! So the underlying implication here, to me, is that Vividha carries residue guilt within her, which Atharva can perhaps read and she wants to show he is doing the right thing... his insecurity comes out in asking her is she sure she is right in marrying him. He wants to accept her without a guilt free past.. where as she is trapped by the fact that she was Ravish s wife ,but could not carry out the role of a wife.. does this imply that she should have given up her true love for the sake of marriage only in name? Vividha needs to work this out. Athrava is right she is unclear about what she wants? To me, she misreads Atharva's loosening her to find her way! to him it comes across as not having enough trust in her.

Uma too counsels Atharva , with the hope of getting to the bottom of the situation. Her advice , he must trust Vividha . He admits to his MIL, he does, but now unsure due to all the evidence . Uma wants to prey on this uncertainty of his and actually says ..does he reckon she loves Ravish? He tells her certain things point to that direction. seeds of doubts ! Uma, to me checks out the damage, and leaves it at that. Till he refers to the make or break letter.. this reminds me of Iago in Othello who planted seeds of doubt in Othello's minds against Desdemona ,by leaving a male kerchief in her sleeping quarter !

Vividha gives her clarifications she knows not why things are happening? thus implying to Sujata that something odd is going on.. it's interesting that Sujata actually trusts what Vividha says.. although Vividha complains Atharva doesn't trust her love..

Uma actually tries to for once, promote her daughters situation the implication of his distrust upon Vividha

Sujata sympathizes with Vividha ,suggests the strategy of seeing things from each other's perspective. As his mother, she helps Vividha to see and account for how things were with him before, then the time lapse for him. Time stopped for him but for others, moved on. Now as he stands his struggle is to account for the validity of what things happened in his lost in time days. Sujata gives Vividha hope , he'll get there in time ,she'll have to be persistent .Second reference to a building.. indumati too reiterates to Atharva that relationship are built on the foundation of complete trust and faith between two people . If these develop cracks the structure comes crashing down. Mutual respect and trust , standing by each other in both good times and bad ,is the true meaning of love.. Indumati thus defines Atharva and Vividha's love..they are incomplete without each other , were at all time meant to be.. so what implications are elders words likely to have on Atharva and Vividha ?

Atharva thought so, but now unsure. Uma wants to prod him, how much indumati's good sense softens his heart? To me, she is quick to fan Atharva's doubts by playing upon his 3 month illness. The fact that Vividha was forcefully married to Ravish ,didn't alter the fact that she still remained as Ravish wife for 3 months even though only in name! To me , here Uma implicates who knows what transpired between them?? she doesn't need to do much, as his doubting makes her task easy to eat away at their relationship like dry rot.

Vividhawith guilt admits her deep admiration for Ravish.. she cannot just forget his graciousness , in uniting her and Atharva.. for her what's important is this man accepted her love for Atharva and went over and out of the way to ensure that he would restore her to Atharva as that was her wish.. to Vividha it means Ravish fulfilled his promise to her! Yet ,she confesses, Atharva does not see Ravish role .. in fact he draws conclusions that create conflict between them. What implications does vividha's devotion for for Ravish show? does it cross the line of gratitude..?

Suman walks in at the right time, carrying a hot stimulated drink. She is stimulated by hearing Vividha's warm and almost ardent defense of Ravish when held up against Atharva. The words imply wrong messages to Suman as she reads meaning into things, that Vividha has strong feelings for Ravish. Vividha needs to be more astute in expressing herself, especially in situations where there is history and things can be implied...

The highlight of the episode is the almost play within the play where the two mothers come clean with each other and compare each others sons strengths and weaknesses . Vividha is the spectator , who can see that she is the bone of contention. It's like seeing on stage what each mother feels and expresses about their son. Two mothers put forward their sons case. question is to work out the implication of this staged scene.? Is it a moment for Suman to both confess before Sujata and hurt her enough tomake her want to leave?? or that Vividha can actually be reminded of the losses and gains Ravish and Atharva went through to gain or lose her?? will it add to her guilt or lessen it? is the scene meant to aid Vividha in reading between the lines and making the right choice Atharva or Ravish..? isn't that what Atharva wants too?? Hi..Hammie...
Am not able to get time on a day to day basis to read your take .. beccause like i said it needs preparation and am just loaded too much with work ...Someday I will catch upwith all the posts I missed 😊 ..SIGH

Precap: both mothers ask their children what they want? Right choice ..love.

This was so beautiful ...Right Choice ----- Love ...

I agree that Vividha has to be careful and astute in expression especially because the territory she is dealing with is waiting to consume her at the first opportunity it gets ... and thats dangerous ... her letter which ended in ' Aapki Vividha " gave me this exact feeling ...

Her goodness can easily be taken as an interest to settle with the one she does not love especially because people in the V-fam have never really lived love and have no understanding about it ... For them relationships have been more about convenience than feelings ...

A beautiful analysis as always ..

😛 ...Ok I accept that I am biased there ... AApki Vividha can only be reserved for her Atharv ...
I think I got more sentimental about that than Atharv 🤣

Well I would have been happy if she had written ' Affectionately ... Atharv 's Vividha ' 😛

I absolutely love reading all u writeups. They are very thoughtful piece of writings which it seems u do so effortlessly.
U have described a very realistic account of army families moving around years after years until they finally move to a location they can call their permanent base. There is one more aspect to this. Many of the army fams have generations of people serving in the forces. And within one generation they will have many serving in different factions of the forces at different level. And all these different individuals within the same family move to different bases every 2-3 years. The point is they hardly stay together as they would possibly never get the same base together. Its a way of life they never complain of.

I think u have got the real point here. Why should Vv feel guilty about not being a good wife to Ravish? She never considered him a husband so where is the point of being a good wife to him. And its not an end of the world for Ravish too. He can get married and have a lovely wife to live with. But Vv's guilt is whirled over n over again by the people around her by the assumption that Ravish truly loved her. And this assumption was taken by the people around ravish who could sense his feelings towards Vv. Can we think, who is the victim here? Is it Ravish who let this feelings of him for Vv let known to the world and then goes on with the charade of handing over her to Atharv?
Or is it Vv who was forcefully wedded, who never became a good wife coz she had her heart lingering elsewhere and made a decision for herself for which she is continuously smothered by everyone?

Sujata's aspect of Atharv was the closest to accuracy, he has woken up after 3 months and sees a new person in his life who is now revered by his soulmate? Does he have a connection with this man and can he relate to him? And on top of it Ravish is the last someone with whom Atharv can warm up as friends due to their complicated relationship.

I can say the show is getting a grip now and with the show progressing hope to read some more wonderful posts from u.

hammie hammie hammie,
''The Choice'' as u say, the highlight of the episode.I liked the way OTHER ppl are trying to help/ manipulate the lovers to come into a conclusion.
brilliant title, intro and ending main u gave ur opinion which is fabulous.👏

When vividha steps her foot again on the household she left few days ago, it was her choice, yes, but her choice was very much influenced by Athrva's behaviour, so, as i feel k choice isnt really a CHOICE when other ppl tell u to do what to do and what not, vividha did this out of anger towards atharva not cz she loved or cared for ravish.according to me, she shouldnt have gone there.it brought false HOPE kind of stuff in suman's mind.can even do the same to ravish, on the other hand atharva will find his doubt growing stronger.strange how lovers act.ppl are going to have a blurred idea about vividha's actual ''CHOICE'' , the cvs are playing with us.

keep writing.

hammie, i hv read last 3 posts of youra and they were quite excellent and realistic
let me tell u i hv become fan of yours

i could relate to what u have said abt yesterdays episode, i felt vividha shld not gone to vashisht house that is like adding fire to the fuel, and this has given wrong impression to suman, added to the fact is her admiration and praises for ravish, i understand ravish has done so much for vividha, vividha is unable to come out of guilt but the fact is atharv is human and he couldn't comprehend vividhas feelings for ravish, as a vitharvian i see what i want to see but as a neutral viewer some facts are distorted

i wish Atharv and vividha sorted their differences in ajmer itself, even though not in one meeting, vashisht house is not the place to clarify things

atharv too need to understand things are not what they were, ppl can never nlbe black or white, vividha cannot suddenly stop talking to ravish bit at the same time vividha needs to understand some safe wall shld be there between ravish and her as her love atharv is in a vulnerable state

suman is always delusionary, while sujatha haa come to her own self

Lovely post Hammie. How you pick up all the tiny details that could have a double meaning I don't know!!

Trust is like a mirror isn't it. If marks fall upon it, they don't come off that easily and infact sometimes the more you try to take it off, the bigger the smudge gets and if it breaks then to glue it back together and next to impossible.

The smudge in Atharv's trust for Vivi appeared from the very moment he saw her married because from his perspective, if things were the other way round, this is the last thing he would've done. He was ready to die but not see Vividha be married to someone else and that too the one family he hates. The one family he doesn't trust because they betrayed his mum.

Here comes the smudge on the mirror getting bigger- he doesn't trust Ravish and his family- no matter how much mahaanta they show, how is he easily supposed to trust him. He can see that he loves Vividha- can history repeat itself? That doubt justifies his lack of trust in the Vashists.

The smudge gets even bigger and makes the whole mirror cloudy seeing all the facts infront of him-what he hasn't seen is what Vividha went through in these past three months-when all he has been told is she went through a lot and if it wasn't for Ravish, she wouldn't be here. So what does he trust?

Why hasn't he been told the exact situations that Viv went through. Surely if he knew she actually turned into a widhwa and all that she felt for him and only him things, he may actually start thinking past these smudges and think that things are not always clear cut.

And Vividha- just show your man that you are only his! Actions speak louder than words!! 😉
