Shanks: I think before EV there were rumours that SidM is in the running for Bhavesh Joshi but after EV's lukewarm reception he must've changed his mind & then Harsh was said to be in the running. After Mirziya there has been no such talk! Loool

Ek Villain was a super hit but yeah, the reviews were mixed. Sid was supposed to do Bhavesh Joshi but Karan Johar wanted him to do Brothers first. Brothers took a long time to complete as Sid had to put on weight for that role. Motwane didn't want to wait that long I think, so after rewriting the script, he cast Harsh.
