Do Fans imbibe some qualities of the favorite?

Fans are different breeds. Hardcore fans not only love their idol but they also dress up like them, wear similar kind of clothes, have same haircut. But this is all superficial. What is interesting is after some time all fans including hardcore ones display dominant trait of their idol.

For example- If their favorite is successful and bully, the fans behave like bully. Or if their favorite likes to be content being in back ground, the fans stay in the background.

Which one do you think is true- the fans act like their idol because they identify with their stars. Or they are attracted to that star because the star has some of their behavior trait.

Please don't make this some kind of fan war or anti -RK post.

^ Nope Lakhanji. I was planning to write a post on this subject. 😛 But got side tracked and bored. For a minute, I really thought I was going to meet SRK. My balloon was burst. 😭

Not voting because most of the time I am just a fan of actors' performances. Sometimes I am a fan of the performer. When I am a fan of the performer as much or more than the performance then that person usually has qualities I have myself (and like) or don't have but wish I did. I don't think I have ever become a fan of a person I wasn't like or wanted to be like and then afterward starting being or wanting to be more like them...

For Rajesh Khanna-he had more female fans who used to write letters in blood for him and worshipped the ground he walked on or where his car drove from..
For AB-fans wanted same hairstyle,wear his kind of clothes.I have read when Mard movie released,millions of Indians both adults and kids wrote 'mard ko dard nahi hota' on their chests.some idiots hurt themselves real bad..aise hote hain fans..

Yeah, either they already have the star's qualities, or try to imbibe those qualities that appeal to them, or imbibe it and change actually, or look for it in the opposite sex, or... they merely appreciate the quality/ies.
