Just came back from watching Raees. It was amazing! Total paisa vasool. I didn't even get distracted enough to remember eating my popcorn. 😆I loved how the protagonist got mad when one of the characters suggested not feeding the hindu population of his community. That message was awesome. I loved it.

On another note, I love the fact that SRK is doing these sorta movies. I know people hate Fan on here but he was awesome in there too. Never been a SRK fan, I love Aamir but I hope SRK continues doing great work! I would definitely recommend Raees...I just didn't like the fight scenes at the butcher shop though, that grossed me out and I did not look at the screen the whole time until it was over. 😵

Watched it finally 😃 !!!

Loved it... Not a single boring moment... Script, screenplay, dialogues, performances .. Everything was top.notch.. 👍🏼 the only problem i had was with the songs.. Esp zaalima.. Was not needed at all imo.. Otherwise loved evrything about it 😊

And SRK again proved why he is the best whn it comes to acting.. Give him a well written character, an intense role and he knocks it outta the park!! ⭐️

And SRK is so damn good in dhishoom dhishoom action!! Wanna see him in some action movie soon!! Don 3 / Dhoom 4 .. Bring it on please!!!!

ok was waiting for long to release here but still no news so watched it

it was ok movie better then fan for me deserve more on box office 😛 shah was top tho 😉 it was his good performance

nawaz was strictly ok n mahria was avg she was OTT in some scenes

best performance was definately sadiq

and sunny item number 😳 😆

other supporting cast did well like mossa n cm

So watched the film finally at a sparsely crowded PVR yesterday...One Lesson learnt!

Never believe the critics reviews...The movie was the BEST SRK film since CDI...

As far his performance is considered He is at the top of his form...It's as layered and varied as any movie performance I have seen in years...Strong, Angry,Morose,Vulnerable,Romantic & menacing all all the same time!

This is the showcase to his range as an actor...How many actors can pull off the Jayraj shootout , the rath yatra & the abbu scene in the same freaking movie...

A word about his introduction scene..Freaking best intro scene ever (at least his)...

I read a review which says SRK played himself in the movie...

I just wanna go to the reviewer and slap him out of his job!

Nawaz is good ..He gets the gait of the police officer to a T...

Zeeshan is a brilliant actor..Wish his character was explored more...

& i wonder why is Mahira trashed so much...The girl clearly is a stunner ..She's got screen presence ,Looked the part & acted well in whatever little characterisation she had...

Rahul Dholakia gets the milieu of the ghetto just right...He is a brilliant director although he seemed overawed by SRK's star power and a couple of fight scenes would have been more effective had he highlighted more on the grittiness and less on heroism..it just sticks out in a movie with an authentic milieu...

Another blemish...The film packs in a lot of material in its runtime in the second half...The material demanding a longer runtime...

Also a couple of scenes like Raees' confrontation with his wife & friend and the climax go ON & ON!

But these are small blemishes in an otherwise (surprisingly) edgy & gritty film

Which brings me to the fact that the movie is reportedly not performing at it's potential at the B.O

the question to be asked is...What was expected of this release?

are the returns fair considering Jan release & a clash with a big release which isn't a non-starter like Mahenjodaro?

I guess it looks like the movie will settle for around 140 cr domestically...

Is it below par?

If yes then SRK has a problem in his hands coz RAEES is a REALLY GOOD movie which deserved more ...& why so much negativity?

I guess now everybody will avoid clashes...they don't do anyone any good!

the muck that was thrown around in this clash is unprecedented...!

SRK doesn't need this!

not surprised, the UK loves SRK. I have never seen so much craze for a bollywood film before as much as i have for Raees

Shah Rukh Khan's Raees beats Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil in Tamil Nadu despite lesser screens

Ever since Suriya's Singam 3 had dropped out of the BO race, Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees had been taking full advantage down South. Also the fact that Aamir Khan's Dangal turned out a huge hit down south, fans had big expectation from both movies. Kabail and Raees set out to dominate screens in Tamil Nadu. 174 screens were allotted for Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil as its Tamil version - Balam was also releasing simultaneously. As for Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, 101 screens were allotted for this 70s gangsta film. Clearly, Hrithik Roshans Kaabil dominated over Shah Rukh Khans movie. But the BO verdict speaks otherwise. According to reports by film critic Sreedhar Pillai, Raees raked in Rs Rs 2.10 Crore in 5 days, while Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil minted Rs 1.55 crore in the same time period. Looks like Shah Rukh Khan's Raees has raced ahead of Kaabil despite the fact that Hrithik Roshan's movie had an additional dubbed version. Even at the Chennai BO, Shah Rukh Khan's Raees is at No 1 position, followed by Vijay's Bairavaa. But, as per reports, both the films collections are nowhere close to Aamir Khan's Dangal. As of Day 5, Shah Rukh Khan's Raees has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark and Kabail has earned Rs 75. 50 crore.

So far, Shah Rukh Khan's Raees has created 3 records so far - Highest earning film on Republic Day, Highest opening weekend collection by a film in the event of a clash and Highest weekend collection during a clash. Raees played by Shah rukh Khan is about a bootlegger in Gujarat whose plans get thwarted by a extra witty policeman.

At the success party of Raees last night, when comparisons were drawn between Shah Rukh khan's Raees and Aamir Khan's Dangal, here's what King khan had to say," "We are happy with the business of the film. It is more than we expected. I can't compare it with Dangal or Sultan. They are much bigger films. So, we knew what our limit is. You all can compare!"

Raees vs Kaabil worldwide box office collection: SRK's film is a clear winner

The box office clash between Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil, at the moment, seems to be going in one direction, which is that Raees is racing ahead, but Kaabil is picking up. The margin during the first few days of release was quite large, with Raees making close to 20 crores every day, and Kaabil raking in around 9-12 crores.

However, on Day 7, Raees " after touching 100 cr on Day 6 " has made Rs 8.27 crore, bringing its total to Rs 109 cr at the domestic box office, reports Indian Express. And according to Times of India, the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabilcollected Rs 6.10 crore on Day 7, thus taking the total collections to Rs 79.60 crore.

While the margin between Shah Rukh Khan's film and Hrithik's film seems to be reducing, it has stayed intact in the overseas collection of both films. Here is Raees' overseas collection

Meanwhile, IB Times reports Kaabil is estimated to have collected approximately over US$3 million at the overseas box office. Further, Indian Express reports, his film has collected Rs 6.19 lakhs from 24 screens in Australia and Rs 5.48 lakh from 14 screens in New Zealand. Koimoi reports that the film's total overseas collection stands at Rs 102 crores.

It is clear that Shah Rukh Khan's film is racing ahead in the international market as well.
