purana Prem's(manoj) wife in Mrs India

Saw Gladrags Mrs.India. Veejay Siddhu ,Manoj Bohra's wife was one among the 5 finalists, but failed to win the crown.In the final round they asked something like 'why do you think that you should win the crown?'. she said that she represented all those average women who dared to dream & achieved what they dreamt.She said she's basically a small town girl, a village girl actually...but her inner strength & beauty has brought her to this level. What went against her was her strong canadian accent.The host of the show Sajid Khan, mocked her saying 'so all small town girls talk with such heavy accent?" .She remained quiet but I think her answer didn't go down well with the judjes since her accent was contradicting the village girl image.

thats harsh i mean i have a british sort of accent but im very rooted in my culture back home and think of my home in bangladesh as my proper home my accent has nothing to do with it

lately, his jokes have been in very bad taste. maybe it has something to do wid the success of heyy baby but still, thats no excuse

Hmm, that really is a bit rude...I mean India's still my home though my accent's turned a bit American-ish. That's something that CAN change.

I hope it was taken in good humor b.c. I personally would be a bit offended and taken aback by that.

I'm sorry.You're right.Her name is Teejay but she didn't win the crown.She won some other title like Ms.Talented or Ms congeniality..whatever...but not the crown for sure.
All you guys are absolutely right regarding Sajid Khan.Most of his remarks were rude & irritating.
