Is Miss Universe Title Jinxed for Bollywood

Sushmita and Lara - beauty with brains. Lovely lasses who should have made it to top. And yet they never got their due. Miss world seem to have fared far better with 2 of the winners ruling the heart of Bollywood audience. Is it the title jinxed for Bollywood?

Lara did some stupid movies in her career..her script sense was bad.

Lara is my forever crush <3 if I was a man I would've loved to marry a Lara Dutta!! Sush is much too flamboyant for me but seems to be nice as a friend. Anyway as for actresses, Sush is a good actress but she doesn't seem to have that cut-throat ambition that BW requires to succeed & Lara dances to her own tune & halfway through seems to have made her peace with not being a huge star like PC. Funny thing is many expected Dia & Lara to do better than PC because Dia has that divine angelic face & Lara has that personality & was MU, but PC with her crazy ambition & intense drive & craze for success steam-rolled everyone in sight!!! When I saw her in Aitraaz I knew she'll do the best of the lot- She was clearly talented even then.

No just their choices or time was not good

Lara Dutta's career is just tragic... she has everything in her - a personality/character that is very rare to find, she can dance, she can act, the looks, even her voice!

I think it was coincidence, at least the next Indian winner of MU would like to think so. Wonder when it will happen though. I don't think Roshmitha Harimurthy is gonna win, 'cause she has tough competition. She is more of the sweet girl-next-door.

But watching Lara, Sush, PC, Aish at these pageants is awe-inspiring. So much maturity and personality at such a young age.

Girls/boys these days just don't seem to have that 'thehrav'.

I wanna see a fierce beauty queen from India next.

Anyway, even winning at the international level does not guarantee a career in BW, though you are put in the spotlight for other Indian film industries like Tollywood etc. They are always on the lookout for new talent, not so much BW. Look at how hard Urvashi is struggling.
