I've been reading over all of your comments, and i find most of them just lack sympathy and understanding of vividha's position. I'm new to this forum in terms of posting but have been visiting here for a while. But as my title asks, i want to know whether it is possible for a woman to be able to love two men at once. I know some of you may think it is either a stupid question or isn't possible, but vividha's positions makes me wonder about this.

I can't even begin to fathom what it must have felt like to be in vividha's position as a woman. The main reason why the title question came to my mind was because we all know that vividha loves atharv immensely and her love didn't weaken even during her marriage to ravish or when everyone considered atharv dead, which is so refreshing to see, seeing as such tracks are so predictable in indian serials. But besides this the other reason why i am confused and hence the title question is seeing the love that both atharv and ravish have for vividha.

Both of them love her a lot. Both of them can do anything for her love, and for both of them, vividha is their strength and weakness. For atharv, his life is of no value in front of vividha's life and happiness and so for him he would unflinchingly put his life on the line for vividha without any care of consequences...when it comes to vividha, for atharv, life or death doesn't matter. For ravish on the other hand, it doesn't matter whether vividha loves him or not, he will do the needed to see her happy. Atharv loves her to the extremes to the point he would never think twice before risking his life for hers, where as ravish loves her unconditionally and silently, knowing she loves someone else.

With vividha having spent time and got to know both of the men and seeing their goodness and their devotion for her, how hard it must be not to have an inclination for both? How can a girl not fall for a guy like atharv whose love is not only passionate, but undying, fearless, and not wavered by fear of death, and how can a girl not fall for a guy like ravish who loves her unconditionally and whose love is so pure that he is ready to suffer all kinds of pain and bear it silently for the happiness of the girl he loves? Neither man loves vividha less or more and both are ready do sacrifice something or the other for vividha. Atharv is willing to give up his life for vividha's love and safety, and ravish is willing to die everyday for her knowing that she can never be his but will still do anything for her. Neither man's love can be underestimated, so how can vividha be blamed for having somewhat of feelings for ravish whilst being in love with atharv?

I know that we all commonly believe that true love means loving only one person, but is it not possible to love more than one person at once in such a case where we feel emotions and endearment for the good qualities of two men as well as the love they both have for a woman?

Edit: Ok, so listening to the two slightly over-defensive replies i've just gotten (the first reply a little too over-defensive), i need to clarify that you guys aren't making sense of what i'm talking about here before actually replying. i'm not questioning vividha's love for atharv or saying she is confused between two people, as i haven't said that anywhere on my post, your misinterpreting the topic question i have raised. I am asking whether it is possible for a woman to love two men or have feelings for two men, especially when the men and their love are like atharv and ravish. I'm saying how it must be a dilemma for a girl caught up between the intense love of two such lovely men. Vividha has thankfully made it clear who she loves, but my question is more to do with the title question i have raised, and how hard it must be for a woman to not be inclined to two such men at a time.

Why aren't we listening to Vividha? Didn't she clearly say what her mental condition to Atharva? Did she hide anything when she told 'tumhari maut se tumhari wapisi tak ka safar meine tayar kia hai tumne nahi ' ? Is it easy for any girl?

Why can't we accept this "'Main mar bhi jaun tab bhi tumhare liye mera pyar kam nahi hoga.. meri mauth bhi mera pyar tumse cheen nahi sakti'' ?

She is aware of her trauma. She is not over looking and she informed it clearly to Atharva too. If she wants time to heal, what's the problem?

She doesn't need to scream about her love in every episode.

I've heard people say that they're confused between two people but I don't see how you can be in love with two people really. As far as I'm concerned, when you're in love with someone you want to BE WITH that one person. You can only really give that love to someone else if you fallen out of love with the first one.

But in JNDSD, lol I just find it funny because Vividha is CLEARLY NOT in love with both. She respects Ravish but she keeps saying this over and over again, she wants him to move on with someone else and be happy. She wants another girl for him so she can give him the love Vividha couldn't.

Vividha wants to be with Atharv. She's not confused about that. People are being insensitive towards what she has gone through.

I'm still confused what's so confusing? Has she not been clear enough? Just because someone is a nice guy, does not mean you fall for him :| She has just come out of a traumatic experience herself, you said it yourself but where has she even once questioned her emotions about love? If there is one thing she's clear about, it's who she loves.

It's just sad that whatever she says falls on deaf ears.

Loving someone and being IN LOVE with someone are two very different things. You can love a lot of people at the same time, but you can only be in love with one person. I personally don't believe that a woman can be in love with two guys at the same time and same goes for men. I just don't see how that is possible.

Coming to JNDSD and Vividha. I don't understand why her feelings are questioned time and over again. She has said it many times including today that she is IN LOVE with ATHARV. She has also said that she acknowledges the fact that Ravish is a very nice guy. She appreciated all that he has done for her. She RESPECTS him and wishes well for him. She wants him to settle down and find a girl who will love him the way she loves Atharv.

@TM Vividha just cannot be anymore clear about her feelings. I would like to ask you, what is it that makes you think otherwise? What has you confused about Vivdha's feelings when she herself is very clear?

And it doesn't even have to be two men. It can be two women. Or even one man and one woman.

Love is love is love and there are no rules or right and wrong.

Vivi's a vanilla girl though. Only one man for her, the stubborn thing. 😛😆

To answer your question, yes, it is possible to love two men. Absolutely. But it is only possible to be in love with one man. We all have many different people, men and women, in our lives, that we love in different capacities. I can love my male friend but can only be in love with my husband, if you get my drift.

Ravish has helped Vividha and Is in love with her. But Vividha cannot fall in love with a man because he is in love with her. If she were to fall in and out of love so soon, what is the point in being in love and it is love at all? Ravish has helped Atharv and has sacrificed his love so Vividha can be with Atharv(though he did in the most despicable and undignified manner that existed). And it is quite possible that he is a nice bloke. BUT, that cannot mean Vivisha will fall in love with him. If we women were to fall in love with every nice man we encountered, boy our lives would be a mess! One should make the distinction between empathy and sympathy and love. Having empathy for a fellow human, and one that has helped you, makes you a good person and reflects upon your humanity. Lets all celebrate the fact that humanity exists and there are good people around us, rather than raising questions and doubts.

It is quite clear what Vivdha wants - she wants the time to heal and forget unpleasant memories. Let us allow that time for this character to recoup and rebuild. It is what a real person would do. And there was never any question as to who she is in love with. The man stands by her and with her even today.

How interesting to see this topic. As a writer, I too ask these Qs and try to see the world through my characters and the experience they have gone through.

To answer your question, yes a person can be in love with more than one person.

Because there are different degrees of love.

As you have pointed out, Arthav and Vivida's love is intense and powerful, no denying that. For them, they only exist for one another. They don't need or want anyone else. This is because they are in love with one another.

However, for 3 months they were separated. V in essence became A's caregiver and Ravish took over the space occupied by A. When I say took over the space, I mean as in someone she can talk over if unhappy or troubled, someone she can openly express her love for A - she had to hide it from everyone else remember.

Then we have Ravish, a gently and unassuming man. He overlooked his own feelings to ensure V had her man again. How can a woman not love him? By this I mean, V forever more will be grateful to him and feel affection for him, almost a brotherly love because it was only by his act she had Arthav again. I bet you, if Ravish needs her, she will do her utmost to help him as a way of repaying him. That does not mean her love of A is any less, not at all.

So yes I would say it's possible to love more than one person. The depth of love and intensity between those loves can be oceans apart though.

Is it possible for a mother to love two of her kids the SAME? The true answer is no. The mother will do her best to make sure that her outward behavior does not betray this fact and do everything equally for both kids. A good mother will never admit to this either.

So the answer to your question is a mix of yes and no. A woman can care for two men very deeply at the same time and would never hurt either of them intentionally, may be even go on please them at the cost of hurting herself. However, she cannot have EQUAL feelings for both.

The most honest answer i have ever seen. Yes! I have always thought that the whole "Mothers love their children equally" belief was BS because all parents have an obvious favourite which we who all have siblings can see when one child is favoured over the other.
