Like always, Ratnam promises a visual spectacle in the form of his films which encapsulate love and beauty in its purest forms. For the first time, we'll be seeing Karthi romance Aditi so that's again a plus point for why we're looking forward to this film. In an interview, the actress was quoted as saying, "Mani sir's cinema transcends language. If he had asked me to do the film in German, I would have done it because of the kind of director he is." Well, to be quite honest, with the kind of films the director makes, we wouldn't mind watching it in different languages as well! For the film, the diva reportedly learnt Tamil so the dialogues would flow beautifully, like a Mani ratnam film. "I tried to grasp the nuances of the language so I could effortlessly internalise Mani sir's instructions. I didn't want language to be a barrier even on that level. It was challenging and now that I'm back in Mumbai and no longer hearing the language being spoken constantly, I'm afraid I might forget it," said the actress.

Reportedly, the title of the film is actually inspired by a poem by the famous poet of 20th century, Subramania Bharati. The film will be helmed by ratnam with his usual team, Rahman on music and A Sreekar Prasad for editing. Veliyidai is releasing on screens in March, however, first song is scheduled to be out on February 2. Excited for the film? Tell us in the comments section below.
