Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan's films, "Raees" and "Kaabil" clashed at the box office on Wednesday. The superstars who are good friends in real life didn't let their professional differences damage their personal lives.

On the day of the release, Hrithik posted a very beautiful and heart-warming message for SRK on his social media account wherein he said that as a mentor he is sure that Shah Rukh's film will inspire him.

He posted: "Dear SRK today as a mentor, I'm sure you will inspire me yet again with 'Raaes' and as a student I hope you are proud of me with 'Kaabil'."

In response to this, SRK posted a simple yet straightforward message. But, he also said that he hoped they could have avoided the overlap of releases.

"Hrithik wish could have avoided overlap of releases. That said...my love to you and Yami Gautam, dad and Sanjay Gupta. 'Kaabil' will be awesome," Shah Rukh tweeted on Wednesday.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, "Raees" is set against the backdrop of alcohol prohibition in Gujarat where Shah Rukh Khan has essayed the title role of Raees, a bootlegger.

On the other hand, "Kaabil" is a love story of a blind couple. The film shows the reasons that sets the man on a revenge spree against the villains essayed by Rohit and Ronit Roy.

Meanwhile we have fishiness too😆

Raees vs Kaabil: Why Hrithik Roshan's tweet to Shah Rukh Khan sounds fishy

Both films have released with much buzz and noise, on 25 January (read Firstpost's reviews of the films here, and here). So far, trade pundits have predicting multiple things about the films; but that hasn't stopped audiences from watching the films in large numbers. Raees and Kaabil have been trending topics since Wednesday morning.

One thing is for sure, Hrithik sure does know how to take a clash with the best of hearts, or so it may seem. On wednesday morning, Roshan tweeted this to Shah Rukh Khan, who he calls his mentor:

At first glance, one is not surprised that Roshan tweeted to SRK when their films are clashing at the box office. He had done the same thing with Akshay Kumar, when their films, Mohenjo Daro and Rustom were clashing last year in August. However, while scrolling through Hrithik's twitter timeline, another tweet came to our notice:

He had linked to this DNA report, where Rakesh Roshan, the producer of Kaabil, has claimed that the distributors of his film had promised him 50-50 distribution for both Raees and Kaabil. However, when they woke up on their release day the ratio changed fotr 60-40. He claims the reason behind this is that the makers of Raees promised Baahubali 2 to the same distributors if they showed more of Raees.

If this allegation is true, then maybe it will escalate the way the clash between YRF's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar of 2012, reached courts.

However, here's a question. If Hrithik's really "with his papa" like he claims in his hashtag, then why is he tweeted to Shah Rukh Khan? How is it that he's able to call SRK his mentor, and he SRK's student, while still standing against Raees?

This could be a case of gregarious generosity (or a case of "keeping the faith", as Hrithik says), but we smell something fishy.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has praised superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Hrithik Roshan for their latest releases -- "Raees" and "Kaabil".

Amitabh took to Twitter on Thursday night, to share that he loved Shah Rukh's anger in "Raees".

"Congratulations Shah Rukh...'Raees'... loved your anger in it," tweeted Amitabh, who has worked with Shah Rukh in films like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...", "Mohabbatein" and "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna".

Big B also praised Hrithik's "Kaabil" and called it the "most convincing film".

"'Kaabil' (is) most convincing film. Endearing, superior performances, and dexterously handled by Sanjay Gupta, director! Congrats," he tweeted.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, "Raees" is set against the backdrop of prohibition in Gujarat. "Raees" touches upon the way the alcohol industry crumbled and several illegal activities followed.

In the film, SRK essays the title role of Raees, a bootlegger. It also marks Pakistani actress Mahira Khan's foray into Bollywood.

"Kaabil", meanwhile, is a love story of a blind couple. The film shows what sets the man on a revenge spree against the villains essayed by Rohit and Ronit Roy.
