Why i dont hate saanj character

Since the show was announced i took an interest, not because of ship but because it was different from the usual indian shows i watch. It was new an fresh. I read each character profile and observe each character.i have to edmit maya character is the first negative character that many love, its similar to kojal movie with a twist of kuch kuch .

Lets talk about characters.

Maya ; she was scene as a shaded lonely character that has everything under control in the begining, but as the story progress we notice she wasnt as collective as we thought. Her life was more mest up then anything which change the way she is. Turning her into this depress, scared an yet manipulative women.

Arjun; he was scene as a free spirit. An achiever, a smart men determine to make his life better, but as time goes on, nothing has change, he's still the same. He has lost his goal he had from the begining to make his life better. But now his new goal is to be in maya shadow an protect an love her.

Saanj: she was scene as a happy an bubbly person. Caring an smart too. She was close to her childhood friend an his family. She always had a positive attitude, but as the story progress she became an emotional rec.her emotions clouded her judgment an thinking. Causing her to look weak an powerless.

Now that i explain each character in my opinion i will get to the main ' which was saanj.

As much as people hate her chacter an talk bad about it. I actually like her character, the reason why is because her character along maya's has transitioned a lot. At one point she was this happy an content women but her character changed multiple time, until finally she became this brave an determine women.

First it was annoying seeing her cry over a men thats not worth her tears. But i started respecting her character when she held it in. All the pain arjun put her through unintentionally. Shes supporting her bestfriend even though she doesnt like it. In my opinion she should have left when she had the chance, to start new. But i guess her heart is that weak against arjun.

Anyway, lately shes becoming more determine to find the truth about maya. I can understand because not everyone knows about maya. They only know the things she wants them to know. Also its good to know about your competition or the one you lose too. But back to why i like her determination. In the beginning she was scared of maya, she became even more scared when maya had invited her to dinner.

At that time, i was hoping she would say something back to counter attack, but sadly she just froze. But boy was i surprise when she stood up to her durring the trip and her confession to arjun. Yes, it did nothing an it wasnt anything special to some, but i was proud that she had a backbone.

I just wish she would have left arjun to his decision an live her life. She shouldnt had agree to arjun when he told her to stay. The way arjun acted was just like when maya didnt want arjun to leave her. Its like this Arjun is maya life support while saanj is arjuns. Its practically foreshadowing. But , I dont hate her character an i wish her the best of luck .

Lastly, I honestly dont understand why people always compare their life style . just because ones mest up an the others not. It has nothing to do with arjun love. Saying things like maya deserve him because shes been through a lot or saanj is his bestfriend cracks me up. At the end its arjun who chooses not them or us. We should just enjoy the show. An thank the writer for the wonderful story no matter the outcome.

Good post. I don't hate Saanjh as such. I liked her the most in the beginning when she wanted Arjun to get a well-paid job. She was telling him the do's and dont's to get a job and how he should behave in the workplace.

Arjun never had a stable job and was getting kicked out of his jobs because of his unprofessional behavior. It was Saanjh who groomed him and told him the importance of being punctual be it interview or after getting a job. She also used to wake up Arjun so he won't be late. She also told him to avoid being on phone when he is working

But when the episodes passed by, she began to call him for every 5 minutes and if he does not receive her call, she left all her work and came to his workplace. It means that she does not practice what she preaches.

Her friendship with Arjun was healthy which I had appreciated. But when she started nagging him about Maya and began to tell him what to do and what not to do, that was something unacceptable.

Though Vandana had got a bad impression about Maya, she never told Arjun to quit the job. Saanjh had also gone to the extent of telling Arjun that Maya promoted him not because of his performance but because of personal reasons. Well, how does it matter to Arjun? Good or bad, Fashion & The City is the only company that has given him a respectable life. That is the only company that has condoned him when he began to fight with the person for misbehaving with a model.

Saanjh had always wanted Arjun to work with her in Multani's company if he does not get a job or gets kicked out of his job.

Coming to the love life

Saanjh's actions became more irritating when she had neither expressed her feelings but behaved like a possessive girlfriend or a nagging wife. she has expressed her feelings at the wrong time. despite her heartbreak, she continues to chase Arjun. Now, in the pretext of protecting and saving him, she has gone to the extent of checking Maya's personal files and her personal belongings.

Her dealing with Maya

Because Saanjh had mildly threatened Maya that if she finds her things that are missing, she will not return t next time. This increased Maya's insecurity. When Maya's truth has to come out, it will but no one wants it to come out this way. Even if she has accidentally found these things, she has to discuss that with Maya but before that, she has to gain her trust that she is not here to snatch Arjun from her but has come to help her which is more important. If she is really interested in Arjun's happiness, she should not hurt Maya but she should help Arjun to help her out instead of separating the couple.

I'm not telling that Maya did the right thing that by getting Saanjh removed from her job. There are people who justify saying this is worse than what Saanjh is doing right now. Both Saanjh and Maya are wrong in their ways and 2 wrongs do not make one right. On the contrary, it makes the matters worse which will also result in the physical fight.

The fox use her tricks to get information calling the cat names and scaring her.

And at the end won. Now the fox warns her to stay away from her mate and remove what ever feeling the cat has. The cat retaliate and warns the fox but the fox was clever. The fox remove the cat from her den to join her den. To keep her close. The cat angry finds a note an angree to join determine to find the fox truth .

Both girls uses their own tricks to put each other down. Their equally at fault, but at the end of the day the one whose gaining anything from it is maya. Saanj should have left when she had the chance, instead of agreeing to selfish arjun. She needs to focus more on her career an leave maya job. Saanjh has to focus on her work and career but she cannot see anything beyond her love for Arjun. If Saanjh had expressed her feelings earlier, she would have got to know the clear picture. She asked Arjun that if he knew this fact before what he would have done. Arjun did not reply. he immediately took off his hands from hers which means that he has never looked on Saanjh in life-partners angle. When Prem and Suman found a match for Saanjh, Arjun was cool about it. He was saying earlier the better. That is the first indication that Arjun never had those romantic feelings for Saanjh

Saanjh is a good person but she has to understand her limits and not go between the couple even if it is her best friend. She cannot keep on spoon feeding Arjun all her life. Sooner or later, Arjun has to grow up and be independent not only economically but also intellectually.

Marriage is the most important decision. It is the turning point. It is a gamble but one should have the capacity to face different situations that come in life. Once the decision is taken, it has to be final as right or wrong has to be decided before marriage. Even if the decision is wrong, one should know how to make it right. Arjun has to compromise in some areas and Maya has to compromise in some areas only then the relationship will work out. Understanding is the main thing for any marriage to succeed.

Coming to Maya's mental issues, she is smart, clever, intelligent and efficient. But she has got behavior issues which are her main drawback. She definitely goes to the psychiatrist but more than the medicines, she needs true love and care in life. Her case has to be handled delicately so she does not get violent. Doctors can only treat her but cannot get her the love she wants. So far, Arjun is doing a good job handling her. Hope he is able to do it after getting married to her.

Good post. I belong to the minority in this forum who is not really bothered with who ends up with who. I am just enjoying how the characters are evolving and how the story is progressing. I enjoy every single character in this show, the many shades all of them have. None of them are perfect and all of them mistakes which is why they all look so real. When I see posts saying Sanjh is doing all this to get Arjun or show Maya bad in front of Arjun, I wonder if I am seeing the same show. Sanj is going through some unconventional ways to find out the truth about Maya. But I can't see where she is wrong in it. To me she is like anyone who truly care about someone and just worried the person you care about is getting into a relation without knowing the full truth. In my opinion Arjun deserves to know the real truth about Maya whatever the truth is so he can make a decision to marry Maya knowing the truth or decide that he don't want to. It is his decision knowing the truth. And Sanj being the person who really loves and cares for Arjun is hell bend on showing him the truth. Should she really do that? Probably not, but this is Sanj who really really care about Arjun and want him to know the truth. I don't really see anything wrong with that.

What I am truly truly waiting rather dying to see is the crazy Maya to emerge and I am really excited to see all the games she will play when she gets insecure due to whatever reason. Would love to see a Girl gone angle, lot of scope here with a lawyer Sanj and all :)

I agree, saanj shouldn't tell him because it's not her place too. I understand she's worried about Arjun, but she should let him deal with it. If she decides not to tell Arjun for his happiness then she will prove that she was just concern for her friend an that she's not trying to gain anything from it. She has prooved time to time that she is willing to give up her happiness for Arjuna. Even though she knows it will hurt her more .

Watching her , I see a concern Friend trying to make sure nothing happens to her best friend, but some people see it as her being selfish an wants to get Arjun for herself. I respect that, everyone has their own opinion. Theirs a picture on Twitter people keep talking about, with saanj an Ashwin. Their saying she's teaming with him turning negative, but not everything is what it seems. I think it's foreshadowing.

We all know saanj wouldn't do anything to hurt Arjun, so it only means she's being used as a puppet in this father an daughter game. With her following Ashwin messages, it makes it seems like she teamed up with him.

Lastly, Arjun does deserve the truth. Maya loves him so she should tell him everything before marriage, their shouldn't be secrets between married couples, hopefully she does tell the whole truth because Arjun deserve to know. Once he knows, he will decide what to do. That's why I'm hopeing saanj don't tell Arjun .

Very good post.

Characters are not meant to be hated or loved, each of them play their part in the story and the writes invests their talent in all of them trying to make us also understand life from the character's different perspectives. That's the real challenge of a writer: to create characters that look very real and to determine his public to learn something from their triumphs and failures.

Nice to see such a balanced post here on IF.

Maya is basically a lovelorn person who has not experienced true love. This is her first experience. Now when she is getting love from Arjun, she has become greedy for it. She needs to understand that platonic love is different from romantic love. She is a baby when it comes to these things. It will take time for her to understand that. She was getting scared of Ashwin and hated colors till Arjun entered her life. So I would say that she is in the process of recovering and she will definitely start understanding these things and she will eventually realize that she cannot always have things in her way. She had seen love in Saanjh's love for Arjun in her eyes. When Arjun saved her from Ashwin, she had developed feelings for him. From then on, she began to find a competitor in Saanjh as far as Arjun is concerned. She became more insecure when Saanjh found Maya's lost earring and returned it to her with a warning to take care of her things because if she finds it again, she won't return it to her next time. Maya immediately understood that Saanjh was referring to Arjun as only one earring will be of no use to her.

Saanjh was also secretly in love with Arjun and from the time she made out that Maya in is love with Arjun, she too began to find a competitor in Maya. She had got all the love and happiness in her life. She has got supportive parents which make her the way she is. If she had earned everything like Maya did, she would have realized that life is not as simple as she thinks and she cannot always get what she wants. A right decision at the right time gives right results. Saanjh was too late in expressing her feelings to Arjun. she was fearing that Arjun would reject her and distance himself from her if she had expressed t. That is why she had asked Arjun if he knew that earlier, how he would have responded. Arjun might have given a thought about it as he did the same when Maya proposed to him.

Conclusion

So it is all about the environment and upbringing which makes a major difference in our daily lives. Plus

I agree. A person can have a happy family but that doesnt mean their always happy. Saanj has a loving family, thats true, but her happyness is arjun. An we all saw her heart broken face when she spotted arjun time to time romancing maya. Maya on the other hand has a dysfunction family. She ended up growing early an having all these responsibility. She didnt have a happy life and became this insecure, manipulative mastermind. Just like saanj her happyness is arjun.

Although both girls have different life style , they have one thing in common. Which is arjun. In both girls case. Maya became the way she is because of her environment. It made her stronger. While in saanj case its her upbringing, that has made her weak.

I'm also sure she knows she cant get everything she wants. But if you weight it down on a scale you will see she doesnt have much. She has a loving family. A bestfriend, an a good job. While maya has fame, fortune, authority, beauty, an arjun. So At the end of the day the one who lose is saanj an the one that wins is maya.
