Warning: This is a rather long post. So read it only if u have patience and the time. I sort of came out of semi-retirement from the forum to write this.
Of late, we've been hearing a lot about the proposed 'romantic' moments between our beloved pair.
But, what is our take on the romatic quotient of our rather unconventional Milind?
So far, he hasn't behaved in the typical flowers and chocolates kind of romantic. Somehow, that's Neev, Puskar (KS), Ayan (Kit) Anurag (KYZ) style.
If you cast your mind back, there are no moments like this between MP and thank the lord for that. If my memory serves me right, to date, Milind hasn't even bought Prachi a piece of jewellery, let alone flowers.
But, what he's given her surpasses all this silly stuff. How can ayone forget the odds he beat just to get her a saree in that terrible flood? That was the turning point for Prachi and her feelings for Milind. The saree, of course, is merely a symbol. The dangers that Milind undertook to get this insignificant piece of cloth is nothing for him compared to his acknowledgement of Prachi inner beauty and innocence. Which is perhaps why he chose a White saree instead of a coloured one!
That saree also is the medium by which he first acknowledges his growing attraction for Prachi. Remember how he stopped in his tracks when he spied her tying it on? The following scene when he ties up the strings of her blouse will forever remain in my memory because it was deeply romantic and erotic at the same time!
Admitted, it's a tried and tested one but somehow this scene stood out as it brought out all the aspects of romantic love and physical attraction.
So, if Milind isn't candle-light, flowers, chocolates and balloons type of a lover, I for one am gald!
For me, his romantic quotient lies in that special look in his eyes when he sees Prachi, that slight lift of his lips when he teases her, the look of desperate hunger for her when he thinks she'll never be his, the anger fighting anguish in those same eyes when he thinks she's been unfaithful and the pain he feels when she's in pain and his helplessness to assuage it.
All the expensive gifts in the world can never compare to all that he feels for Prachi. And, Prachi is his ideal soulmate for she doesn't crave for these materialistic symbols of love either.
So, the creatives can go ahead and do their worst by this lovely couple. For us Michians, the couple will never be destroyed in our eyes. Knowingly or unknowingly, the BT creatives have, for once, created a pair of lovers that are close to immortal.
I would have compared them to Romeo and Juliet, Isolade and Thesbe, Heer Ranja etc. But I daren't as I don't want the same fate to visit them!
Just something to tide you all over till god-knows-what senarios those madhatters are going to throw at us in the following weeks.
