Chapter 18 - Arnav's Possessive Secretory!!

Miss. Ruby Dsouza had a real loud and threatening voice... A lady around age of 50 had been Arnav's secretory after Khushi had left AR Designs long back...

Only Miss Ruby could survive being Arnav's secretory. She was smart, fast in her job and really straight forward...

Plus she could so easily read any person from their face and most of the time her guesses about that person would be on dot...

This quality of Miss Dsouza was really helping Arnav keep some of the clingy models at bay... If she realized any model had intensions to cling to Arnav and use him for her advantage, she would really make sure the model would run for her life...

Arnav knew he was taken and waiting for his love to come back to him and he really wanted to avoid all those page 3 news unnecessarily linking him with every model and pictures...

Before he didn't care and did not even make any efforts to stop some of the false news! And it had tarnished his image to some extent!! But now he was careful, rather dedicated to his love!!

He was thankful to Miss Ruby for her quickness in handling those models and keeping tab of them to avoid any sort of false publicity around her boss ASR... Many models were scared of her and it worked for Arnav...

When Ruby landed at Mehta house, she met Khushi and was impressed at how Khushi was handling two bosses and administration work so effortlessly...

Khushi was a great multitasker and expert at what she did. Ruby almost remembered herself when she was young...

Ruby could see how proud Mr. Mehta was of Khushi. He was hell dependent on her for every small thing and Khushi efficiently handled all the work and beyond...

What Ruby did not like was Arnav being so dependent on Khushi within one week. She was surprised to hear Khushi calling him Arnav and not ASR and he did not mind it...

In fact even he was calling her Khushi! In fact every two minutes, he would say Khushi, this and Khushi that...

They both were working flawlessly in tandem with each other, would complete each other sentences at times and Khushi would get files or notes even before he asks and the exact file and notes as if they had some telepathy going on...

Arnav never liked coffee made by Ruby and he barely managed it... And here it looked like he would desperately wait to get a cup of coffee from Khushi and his face would tell how much he loved coffee made by her!! He would thoroughly enjoy every sip of that coffee!! Hell, Khushi would even guess whenever Arnav had slight headache and immediately would rush to hand him a snack and coffee along with headache medicine...

"How is this possible?" Ruby was not jealous of Khushi but rather curious... She had heard lot of gossip and name Khushi at work... Khushi looked gorgeous, young, nice and innocent, same qualities she had heard about Khushi who worked in AR Designs long ago...

"So could it be possible, she is the same Khushi? I am 200% sure she is" Ruby had guessed it already...

"Khushi, I can see you have been handling ASR very efficiently. But I am back. And thank you very much for helping him while I was on leave. Now that I am here, I will take it from here..." Ruby talked to Khushi in a very strict tone. She was trying to judge Khushi.

Even Mr. Mehta and Arnav looked at both the women... Arnav was surprised with Miss. Ruby's tone... He thought maybe Miss. Ruby thinks Khushi is trying to impress him...

"My pleasure Miss. Ruby. Here is the file and notes on different things to follow up on for Arnav. Apart from that, I have cc'ed you on emails that I sent out today for Arnav, so you can take over those as well." Khushi replied confidently putting her hands on her shoulders assuring her...

Though her heart felt exactly opposite... She wished she could continue working with him, stay close to him and take care of him... Yet her brain warned her to step back, not go the route unless she was ready and focus on her agenda... She felt tug of war inside... She was not sure she would stay strong having him around her all the time...

Miss. Ruby was never afraid to lose her job or insecure like that... But now she was confident this is the girl her boss is madly in love with... She immediately felt so much love for Khushi just like she had motherly love for Arnav...

"Sure sweetheart!" Miss. Ruby had a nice and polite tone...

"Which way is the rest room?" She asked Khushi.

"Let me show you... I am going that way" Khushi took her along...

"One more thing Khushi, if you don't mind!" Miss Ruby asked in no nonsense tone once they reached the restroom...

"Sure Miss. Ruby, how can I help you?" Khushi asked politely...

"Maybe it's time you help yourself sweetheart! If you love someone in life, you don't just walk away no matter what... You stay in and fight for your love... Just like ASR is doing every step of the way!!" Ruby said that in an accusing tone and went inside the bathroom...

"Do you think staying away from your love is easy? Sometimes you have to go through tests yourself, punish yourself to really make it all worth it..." She whispered to herself and was almost in tears... But Mr. Mehta called her for a meeting and she had to let go off her thoughts for now...

Even though she whispered Arnav, had come behind them and he heard Khushi and saw her state... Why would she say that? He too did not have time to ponder over it for now...

Ruby had seen ASR's struggle most closely than anyone else... He was most of the time at work, overdoing things all these days, trying to keep himself busy... She had seen him sitting hours staring at someone's pictures and his lone tears missing her!! He would eat food, medicines only after reminded by her or his sister or else he never cared... At times she had found him exhausted sleeping on his desk during day time because he has had sleepless nights!! The dark circles, weight loss spoke volumes about the state of his heart!!

Ruby just could not help but confront Khushi though the ASR she saw today was different... Almost as if the original ASR is back, he had put on weight, looked fresh and he was smirking or smiling all the time...

She knew Arnav and Khushi both were at the same place at the right time and they needed to sort out and move on together... They loved each other too much to let go!!

She just prayed they both realize it for themselves!! She decided to allow them to work together much more...

Arnav lost weight, his health is sinking in her absence. But Khushi is blooming in his absence. Kinda defines their love for me.

And with Khushi is so happy in her life without Arnav, that the last statement about her feeding him, seems really shallow. It doesn't define her love, cause thats her inherit nature for everyone. Nothing special for Arnav.

Her making coffee as per his liking and ordering his favorite food, is like peanuts, compared to his longing for her.

Sorry, i know my comments are not so encouraging. But hoping that Khushi will prove that she also loves Arnav as deeply, as he does. Else its not a balanced relationship.
