Chapter 17 Continued -

"Good Morning Khushi" Mr. Mehta addressed her as soon as she entered his cabin. Even Arnav was sitting with Mr. Mehta.

"Good morning Sir, here is your tea. And sir, here is your coffee" She handed cups of tea and coffee to Arnav and Mr. Mehta.

Arnav sipped his coffee and immediately knew coffee was personally made by Khushi. He instantly felt rejuvenated.

"Khushi, I have a request for you. Can you assist us both or may be more ASR this week while his secretory Miss. Ruby joins him hopefully within one week?" Mr. Mehta requested.

"That is fine sir" Khushi politely replied.

"Thank you Khushi. And call me ASR or Arnav just like everyone" Arnav first time looked at Khushi directly.

She was wearing a white knee length sleeveless frock with yellow flowers, bold yellow sandals and she looked so gorgeous. He felt Paris suited her. She looked fresh, less worried and seemed to be enjoying her work and stay in Paris. Good for her, he thought. She had been through emotional riot, thanks to him so this was a great change for her, he knew it...

"Sure, Arnav. Let me know anything you need. I am right here" Khushi replied confidently.

Arnav was pleasantly surprised she did not hesitate a bit like before and chose to call him by his first name. He was delighted with confident changes in her!!

"Khushi, arrange for lunch for both of us and join us please. You will need to take tons of notes today" Mr. Mehta indirectly warned her that there was loads of work coming her way.

"Yes Sir" She quickly ordered food and joined meeting and started taking notes.

Arnav was observing Khushi keenly. She worked like any professionals out there. For that matter, confident international professional employee. He was so proud of her!!

Khushi was taking notes every meeting, consolidating them, bullet points and sending it across before next meeting starts so those points can be used... She was smart multi tasker for sure.

Food arrived. She had ordered Arnav's favorite Italian food. He was surprised but did not comment.

"Are you ok with the food, Arnav?" Mr. Mehta wanted to confirm Arnav liked the food.

"Oh absolutely, Italian is my favorite cuisine." Arnav appreciated instantly.

"Trust Khushi on intricate details when it comes to handling anything in office. It's almost like she has sixth sense when it comes to taking care of people around her. She always goes that extra mile! And she worked for you in the past so she knows what you like..." Mr. Mehta proudly commented.

Who knew it better than Arnav about this quality of Khushi?

He had seen how she used to handle Nani, mami, La and his Di's mood swings on her pinky finger! He laughed at that thought but she had that knack of observing and handling people so well...

So somethings did not change about her! He was happy about that...

Arnav was surprised with Khushi's newly acquired skills... Her fingers worked like magic on her laptop. She was pro in making power point presentations, excel trackers, Microsoft project planning and documents with all graphic diagrams... Of course her English had improved by million folds...

He had heard talking to one of her colleague in French... Shock was an understatement for him...

He was amazed how she managed all this in such a short time of six months... To top it all, confidence was her new trademark!!

He couldn't resist himself from observing her minutely whole day that day... Her beautiful smile was intact! He thought she looked much more beautiful in modern western attire with long hair open... Maybe it was due to her confidence, tremendously improved Fashion sense and the way she carried herself now...

After a long time, Arnav had peaceful sleep whole night... It is wonderful to have Khushi back in his life, even if it meant only during working hours and work related stuff!!

He is ready to go slow and wait for her! He would not rush into anything and rather act perfect gentleman for her this time!

Khushi couldn't help but feel worried about Arnav!! He looked thinner and worn out... First thing she could do was order his favorite food and feed him...

She too felt at peace after such a long time... All her hidden emotions came out after seeing him... She was happy he was around her...
