mangalsutra of an unwanted marriage does really strangulates one's life. a chain with those beads is not what saves a life rather if you sell it ( i mean if need arise). and we have seen not just in movies but in real life too so many women doing it for all practical reasons. it is not these 'tokens' that keep up a marriage. vividha was so right today when she talked about marriage, vachans and KK.

i am a happily married woman too with two sons (20 & 18) and I do wear an MS but then that's my choice. and that how it should be. this show is making me see the things so differently that i have already started changing my perceptions about marriage and keeping it all open for my sons.

That was so depressing to watch... honestly, Vividha is suffocating in this unwanted marriage. Major symbolism with connection to Atharv and her so called marriage.

Being strangled by Atharv's rudraksh was an indication of Vividha feeling trapped by her situation in which she cannot tell Atharv the truth about this sham marriage. Wherein, what Vividha always desired in life was not how it planned out in reality 😭

Vividha is powerless and is detached from her instincts.

Marriage is a societal norm... it's just labels

Oh the symbolism. Those infamous black beads around her neck which accidentally pulled around her neck suffocating her.

I felt it I just feel Vividha's suffocation. She's hiding from Atharv, she needs to tell him the truth, Ravish's niceness makes her feel guilt, the 3 marriage counsellors are constantly at her one by one. But why oh why is it necessary to stay with the nice guy? Uma you absoluatr MUPPET! There's millions of nice guys out there, actually not millions but there's a few...do I marry all of them? Look at yourself in the mirror first! See what kind of married woman you are before advising Vividha.
