Honestly similar to the reaction of most of the audience to the current content of the show I am very confused on how I should even began this post. Ok
Topic 1: Plot!!!
Honestly where is the show going?? I am probably lost because in most shows attraction or love doesn't happen until after episode 100. There are events that happen that lead to the main characters falling in love or even being attracted to each other. When ChanDini went on their little field trip, I was like okay I kinda see where this going. But a little while after they get back, jealousy track. How? After just one trip? For someone who is attracted to the guy who caused her to lose her brothers and almost lose her father after one trip makes me a little skeptical. I feel like there has to be more buildup for them to actually fall in love. Another thing I want to mention is that as a viewer I feel like the characters haven't fully developed, there is no doubt that the actors are great but the characters they are portraying aren't developed, the track went too fast for them to.
Maybe...
As most of us know, Durdhara dies after giving birth to her child because of the poison she accidentally consumed. And we have seen in a previous episode that Nandini is becomes the Godmother of the child so possibly the writers have fast tracked (since Durdhara is already pregnant) for the main characters to get attracted to each other now and then fall in love while ChanDini take care of the baby together. Only time will tell...
Topic 2:Direction/Editing/Acting
I read another post about Durdhara saying "ek number". I didn't even notice it but as an actor I feel that it is their responsibility to get completely into the character and not make mistakes like this. Durdhara does make the mood lighter with the current jealousy track but I feel like things like this can't be over looked by directors, editors and actors of historical fiction shows.
Topic 3: Acharya
I've seen some posts criticizing the fact that Acharya is controlling Chandra. And I agree, I too want Chandra to make decisions by himself. But we've seen this before haven't we? With Mahamanga and Khan baba in JA? I'm not trying to compare Chanakya with them but that is essentially what is going on. Archarya means teacher, and he is playing that role in the show. At least in JA Mahamanga would disaprove of Jalal and Jodha being together behind Jalal's back but hear he is directly telling Chandra not to like Nandini and this make sense because Chandra has not given him his guru dakshina yet. My point is we've seen this before, and we should give Acharya-Chandra relationship some time.
I've been reading other posts, and you guys are making great points! So glad to be part of this group where we can have mature discussions about the show without being mean to each other! Keep it up ChanDini fam šāļøš
