Bajrangi was his chance, and because of Bahubali - it couldn't happen.

I'm not sure. TZH would have been a sure shot, but I don't trust Ali Abbas as a director. Unlike others, I didn't like Sultan.. In fact, if we compare it to other movies of Salman since Dabbnag, I'd place it below Bajrangi, Dabbang, and ETT. Nonetheless, Sultan is one of Salman's finest performances ever though.
