L R L :- A Little Bit Over The Top

Hello

These few thoughts are from my point of view.

Although L R L has gone down the hill, I felt the last two episodes of 24th and 25th December, 2007, was the height of misrepresentation of the Indian Constitution, however illogical a serial may be and it is only unreal serial.

The Army, The Navy and The Air Force, The Armed Forces of the Country ,
is under the supreme command of The President ; . Only in exceptional case The President could act on his own; if I am right. And also the Defense Ministry has the Armed Forces under it.. Most of the decisions are taken with the advise of the three army chiefs.

So at no point in time can a person send orders to the Army, without the council of ministers approval and the President's assent. And the episode of 24th Dec, was not in order, for a person like Gehlot, how ever powerful, he might be, and without being a minister in the council of the ministers cannot take charge of a ministry and also cannot issue orders without the cabinet / council of ministers and later on the President, in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, coming into play.

This is a major oversight and gross misrepresentation of The Indian Constitution by the script writers and the concerned people at L R L team.

I wonder how it is allowed to be telecast and without any clarifications.

I wish some one would correct me if I am wrong, and if I am right, somebody put it across to the L R L team.

Hmmm, interesting points. Seems to me that the creative team is dishing out plots without thinking now.

You know, I've been advised by my parents to watch lrl...but to leave behind my brain in my own room(the TV's in their room).

Other than the provisions of the Indian Constitution, it seems that plain old common sense also does not apply to the show....na hi weather/seasonal elements kaam karte hain, n na hi laws of gravity(uhhh..seen Gunny hanging from ceilings???)....nothing normal seems to work here.

I have already stated that however unreal and illogical a serial might be. The issue is the Constitution and an Constitution cannot be misrepresented.. Not the question of leaving one's mind. But of misrepresentation and thus show disrespect to the Nation.

It was very clearly stated through Abhimanyu's Say :- "the orders are being sent from Gehlot's office. Any communiqu from the Defense ministry has to have a cabinet approval and then President Affixes His / Her signature, which then is an Order. .

So the serial has no right or have any business to misrepresent the constitution and also show the Army being run without any order.

This fact I place before you. Correct me if I am wrong on this count.

Thank You

I accept that...n since I agree with what you've said that's why I've not discussed it any further, coz you're right, so no scope for 'discussion' in that. Itna Civics padhaate the school mein humein.

I guess it was the Republic Day function...Yudi's scene with his parents in the hall...wash basins ke upar waali wall pe National Flag ulta latka tha...again a gross misrepresentation.

Still much better than the Saas-Bahu serials.
dont forget, when one has power, they can control anything. People dont even know what the truth is, there are some very good points this serial keeps making from time to time, like fore example, in few episode back, some cradet says people will believe what media is telling them, even thou it is not true an iota.
we just blindly believe what we see on TV and whatever Media says.
I cant remember all the great points this serial has made time to time, but i still feel it is far better than those saas-bahu serial.
i agree it has some unrealistic things, but that is part of the drama.

I understand that some where in between that you have not really understood the points I have made.

The point is Misrepresentation of the Constitution of the country and however unrealistic the serial is, One cannot misrepresentate the constitution of any country and it is not the part of the drama to misrepresentate the working of the Army or the Constitution.

I am sorry to disagree with that.

Further I am not making any points about the good or bad points of the serial.

I would like to say that whether you disagree with me or I disagree on some counts, it should not be taken personally. I respect your views and thoughts as much as you respect mine.

Hello Folks

I wish to request and say that please stick to the issue and not deviate from the points and the issue that I have raised. By doing so any meaningful and purpose is lost and whole exercise is lost and will have no meaning.

It really does not matter if there are disagreements. I respect each ones view and thoughts. I am sure you do to my views.

I understand few have really missed the points and the issue I have raised. Sad.

This is my humble request.

We all agree with you Manzz and you are right on the point that no one has the right to disgrace the constitution and represent that the army is working without any high command authority and proper orders.

Plus friends, a discussion includes various POV's and various points that can be taken out of one single point and this way only the discussion is carried on.

Kindly, respect each others views and not force anyone to agree or disagree with you.
