Hello all!
Missed being a part of the forum discussion's yesterday after a lovely episode.
The views on the episode specially the precap had to be debatable as some of us are practical thinkers while some of us are inclined emotionally. Maybe both aren't wrong, I belong to the latter category😊
I absolutely loved the way the episode was narrated and presented to us..
- Firstly, the cinematography and the camera work were brilliant👏 When Sonakshi is standing infront of bonfire, looking at Dev. ..when Dev and Sonakshi do a ballroom dance together, it was all shot beautifully.
It was giving a disney princess movie vibes, really❤️
- How when Dev is pacifying Sonakshi in the beginning of the episode, Sonakshi melts with his words. Dev's biggest positive quality (the same becomes his weakness in some situations) is that he patiently listens to Sonakshi venting out, almost never refusing. While this pleases Sona, it also becomes the cause of her frustration sometimes because it makes Sona feel wrong or it comes across as he is not even listening or understanding what she is trying to say and is just trying to keep her happy. How beautifully they showed this trait of their relationship.
- Sonakshi feels she overreacted and they happily move towards the decorated area. The entire portion after it highlighted how the two lovebirds just need eachother's company to be happy and content. They live for each other's happiness.
Dev trying to rehearse complements for Sonakshi was so so cute😆 Loved the BG music there😳 Enters Sonakshi, looking no less than a princess and Dev starts stamerring😆 Sonakshi is elated with his complements and their cute banters follow. It was really a treat to watch them interact normally without any stress.
Both lost in each other realise how they are the only guests in the hotel and won't be left alone...
But when you are jolly, it doesn't matter where and infront of whom you are, so the couple decides to have a cute little ballroom dance!❤️
- The little things writers add in, give so much of depth to the scenes. How Sonakshi remembers Dev's 'I love you' and completes what she hadn't said that day... The flashbacks were flawlessly added.
- There is trouble in their paradise as soon as someone else enters to disturb their peace, be it not physically. Ishwari calls & Sonakshi sees him trying to keep Ishwari satisfied. See, it will be really wrong to expect Dev to ever raise up his voice against his mother in eventd like this. For someone who worships his mother, he can't find faults in her actions. Ishwari will always be right for him unless some big event turns his notions upside down. Still, Dev was clearly disturbed with the menu thing.
- Sonakshi is reminded again and again about her condition and it is also that she herself fails to forget it. It is her own gloom that makes every sentence of Dev abou t pregnancy pinch her. She said it, "Apko mahaan ban ne se fursat nahi hai" She knows he loves her, but she is not an 'abla naari' who needs love and sympathy because she is imperfect. When Dev said it for the nth time that he doesn't care, It reminded Sona again how she had to live upto everyone's expectations and here this guy is busy consoling her that she can fail.
I don't think I am able to express it very clearly with words but what I mean to say is, apart from Sonakshi's doubt that her relationship with Dev could change with the baby, it is majorly her own bottled up feelings of being infertile, that feeling of incompleteness that is frustrating her. This is why she is hating being reminded of it again and again, even by postive assurances.
She said it too, her feelings of being 'not perfect' by saying
"Sab meri hi galti hai, apko farak hi nahi padta ke mai apko ek bachcha bhi nahi de sakti"
Whether Dev is affected or not, Sona definitely is.
Hence the precap. It is purely Dev trying to soothe Sonakshi's frustration by his love, to make her feel loved, to show that all these issues would never change their love.
Dev's expressions were that of longing and possession in the precap.
It in no way looked cheap or unnecessary to me. Infact, I am so so glad that Dev and Sonakshi are spending time together not for Ishwari's sake but after venting their hearts out completely.
- How bang on were Sona's dialogues. We thought Sonakshi was blind with ish's love, but she was just absorbing the facts and this is why we never saw her breakdown on an extreme level after she knew of Infertility, all the welled up feelings came as aggression today👏
"Meri koi identity nahi hai, jo hai bas baby hai. Aisa lagta hai, mai bas carrier hu"
"Dev aap bas har chiz ka temporary solution dhundna chahte hai, sabko khush rakhne ke liye"
She was spot on!
- What should I say, I felt bad for Dev because till now he failed to understand where he was going wrong. What was wrong in keeping everyone happy?
If someone is emotionally weak like Dev, it is not really his fault. When Sonakshi was throwing things, candle, pillow, his coat (😆, Sona is Mrs. Dixit afterall😆) he was just dodging things in shock. Usko kuch samaj nahi aa raha tha😆
But when Sonakshi said the last few lines he said ,"Sorry"
Because he realised that him trying to keep sona happy like this superficially was putting infinite pressure on her plus he was failing to make her feel special or wanted in his life(everything has been about Ishwari lately) and then we saw the precap.
Repeating the same thing again here, I think monday would not be abrupt but a beautiful continuation of the emotions we saw on Friday.
Looking forward to it eagerly!
P.S How cute Sonakshi was looking when she was shouting wearing that oversized coat covering her palms😳😆
