It was split second decision on Shivaay's part.
His intention was to get it signed because he did buck under the BM by chess board. But the way Anika asked him that what did Tia say to you that you have rushed to me with the divorce papers... Kind of make him connect the dots. Tias insistence on the divorce the previous day, then this blackmail and Tia conveniently walking in to taunt Anika... All this made him to think and it was split second decision. So he did not sign.
