I watched and rewatched this episode over and over, couldn't put down any words to describe all the feelings invoked. This is long.. and late, but here goes..

Pinky & Shivaay

Pinky was terribly unhappy about what is happening in her son's life. Married to Annika for real, married to Tia in the eyes of the world. For once maybe, she thought her supremely confident son Shivaay might not have everything well managed in his stride as always. She is worried for him. Mothers worry.

Then Daksh comes and poisons her ears. She's not a wise thinking type, like Jhanvi. Jhanvi rubbished Daksh's accusations against Annika's character instantly, preferring to believe what she knew rather than gossip.

Pinky and Shivaay are similar, they worry about what people say about them too much. They have to appear amazing, correct, impressive and aristocratic all the time. Must be tiring. So she forgot that Annika was the victim in the whole ordeal, and accused her of orchestrating the circumstances in which she became the bride.

Word of mouth is a powerful thing. How many times have we believed pure gossip about people without bothering to find out the truth? Here Pinky's own son is telling her she is wrong, and he will not have anyone speaking ill of Annika. Anyone, including his mom.

That wounded Pinky. She had always felt less worthy in Shivaay's eyes, and felt hurt over his disapproval against her opinion in favour of Annika, the newcomer. Everyone comes first to Shivaay, never me, even this girl Annika. I loved this scene, I wish there's a scene like this with his father too. Makes Shivaay less like a robotic businessman who was born a fully matured adult.

He managed both his mom and wife very nicely, I must say. I'm impressed. Om would be very proud.

Talk to me

Shivaay, the man, is very persistent when it comes to what he wants. And he wanted Annika's forgiveness, badly. He tried everything. Following her around, watching her as she slept, making her break her silent fury at him. He was a little taken aback by how broken her spirit was and how she wasn't bouncing back.

Maybe the trauma of what Daksh did , and almost dying in a tank of water made her defeatist and melodramatic, hota hai yaar.

Shivaay didn't give up. If shaking her out of crying didn't work, he tried softly spoken words next.

"No, you're not going anywhere until we talk. ",

"Why should I?" she retorts mutinously.

"Because I said so?" The words were so arrogant and presumptious, that she gave him an indignant look of irritation. But his eyes were concilliatory and honest, and she didn't pursue the argumentative route. Still unwilling, she walked away.

Ok, this method also failed. Time to break out the attitude.

Instead of appealing to her with honesty, he decides to rile her up. And his Tadibaaz, never fails !! He blocks her exit with his car, and insists to take her wherever she wanted to go. I'm guessing she was going on Champa, and his huge car was blocking its exit.

Did you guys notice the almost appreciative look she had on when he walked up in his glares, looking like a billion bucks?

It worked. She was annoyed enough to react to him.

"Shivaay Singh Oberoi does whatever he likes "

So she went and found a cricket bat and smashed his windscreen again, a tribute to their first meeting. But today, oh how different was the outcome!

Today, he wasn't outraged, but he was admiring her, happy that her crazy infuriating spunk was back, nevermind happy, but she was in high spirits again, and it was so thrilling for him to see. Finally, I saw Shivaay admiring Annika as a woman (you know, a little like how Rudra does a hot girl) , not like a vision of heaven (but hey, that works too.) I LOVED IT !!!

She was about to walk off, but a certain bumbling Khanna decides to step out of his post, because he didn't get them in the right angle this time. I LOLed so much and this weirdo who was shamelessly watching the two tadibaazs fight. very nice throwback to the early days !! #TBT !

"Well, at least you're talking to me now."

"No, I am NOT. I am leaving.."

" No way. I am not going to let you pass until we talk.."

"Zabardasti, huh?" hahha, I loved the attitude...

"What will you do huh? Break my legs? Carry me ? What?"

Before she could say anything further, he simply carried her up like a sack of potatoes and carried her in! She was horrified and couldn't believe it and was even wiggling her legs in that funny way , it was hilarious!

"I told you not to challenge me!"

"So , if someone challenges you to jump, you would?!"

"Yes !!"

Then came face to face with everyone in the house. And the bickering ended abruptly. Shivaay quickly made up a missing file and scooted off in seconds! Leaving Annika lying flat on the floor. Her stuttering explanation and the family's teasing were an absolute treat!

Finally escaping the scrutiny, she runs to Shivaay's room and hides, sharing a look with the man himself. As they burst into laughter, i felt roses blooming in my heart. How lovely. I might've read this somewhere in a forum member's story...

Annika quickly came back to her attitude and before she could go far, he gave her a bat. To hit his head with.

She was only happy when she could break something. He offered his head, hilariously.

Break anything you want, just never stop talking to me.

And he proceeded to give her the sweetest apology ever. No stuttering, no swallowing, no half heard voice. "I'll say it a hundred times, I am so sorry Annika. I will never doubt you, ever again. Please forgive me."

Oh man, I melted. That look in his eyes. Even Annika was speechless with it. hayyeee...

But soon Pinky appears, apparently Tia decided to kill herself in front of an audience. Sigh. but I didn't see any urgency in Shivaay to get to her...*evil smile*

But it didn't end there.. Shivaay came back for her.

"Annika, you come with me too..."

Sigh.
