Aamir Khans Dangal has not only created a storm in India, but in the overseas market as well. The movie opened tremendously in various key international markets including America, UAE-GEC, and UK. In fact, by the end of day 1 (Thursday), Dangal has collected an impressive Rs 11.41 crore in the overseas market. Considering that a few locations are still to report the figures, we have to say this is a really good sign for the movie.
The detailed box office collection of Dangal was released via a statement. According to it, "The North American market opened with night shows on Wednesday and collected a phenomenal USD 325 K (Rs 2. 21 crore). The Thursday collections are awaited and are estimated to clock over USD 500 K (Rs 3.39 crore). The Gulf market opened across 95 screens and is estimated to gross a massive Thursday at USD 685 K (Rs 4.65 crore) with some screens yet to report. UK Thursday previews grossed an impressive USD 171 K (Rs 1.16 crore) with 3 locations yet to report."
If you add the total of all these three key markets, you will realise that Dangal has already grossed Rs 11.41 crore on day 1. And with the holiday season, we expect the movie to grow even more on Friday. At the international theatres, people are raving about Aamir Khan's remarkable performance. They have even loved the message that has been given out through the movie. Apart from that, the performance of the Dangal girls - Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar has been praised as well. While people have compared the movie to Sultan, the majority has mentioned that both the films are very different.
