PART 19

Khushi recalled what happened a few months ago. She went to meet her aunt after her engagement but she didn't want to stay there for long as she very much wanted Arnav on her side.When Arnav was told what happened in Khushi's life by Payal and Raj,he contacted Khushi through phone frequently and Arnav decided to break her engagement and bring her home. He went there with Somanth and talked to her uncle.There was a heated argument between all.Vishal aksed Arnav to save her.They left but the next day early morning Arnav came back and took the ring from Khushi and gave it back to her uncle who threatened him that he would file a case against him for interfering in their personal life.Arnav took her with him and he went straight to his flat in Lucknow.On the way he explained his plans.

He asked her to marry him.She hesitated and said:Arnavji...any girl would be thrilled at an offer of marriage from a person like you but as I told you earlier marrying me would bring bad luck in your life also.

Arnav:Khushi..please stop..we are educated..be practical in life.

Khushi:There is a lot of difference in the way we both are brought up..My circumstances won't give me the confidence to proceed with my wishes.I'm cursed by the people who are like my parents.

Arnav:Ok..we won't talk further.But we have to register our marriage because if your uncle file a case against me or you he can't do anything adverse against us.

Khushi:Yes..but no ceremonies.

Arnav:Ok...I've arranged everything.Let's proceed.

After registering the marriage they reached his flat.

Khushi:When do we go home?

Arnav: Why? Are you fraid to be alone with me?

Khushi:No...

Arnav:You please remain here.I'll go to my office and we will return in evening flight.

They reached Delhi at night. Arnav took her to his villa where he stayed in weekends,sometimes alone,sometimes with Aman.It's here he used to drink and relax.

Khushi:Which is this villa?

Arnav:It's mine,my very private place.Now open to my wife.

Khushi:Why are we not going home?

Arnav:At this hour?

Arnav took a packet from the back seat of the car and gave green saree from it to her.

Arnav:Go to the bedroom,fresh up and wear this.I want to see you in this today.

Khushi:But Arnavji we are not husband and wife still.We'ven't done the rituals.

Arnav:Please don't make me mad.Obey me.

Khushi went to the room reluctantly.

When Khushi got ready and came to the living room,she could see him sitting and watching TV.He was already changed and was looking dashing in white casuals.He turned as he heard movement and stared at her.He asked her to sit near him on the sofa but she hesitated.He rose to his feet and made her sit near him.Arnav went inside the room adjoining the living room and brought a jewellery box.He brought out a beautiful emerald necklace .Khushi gasped.

Khushi:Oh my God!

Arnav:You are now Mrs.Raizada.

Khushi:But Arnavji..this is not real marriage know?

Arnav:Khushi..please don't spoil these moments.Arnav tied the necklace on her neck.She could feel his fingers and and then lips on her neck.A sudden desire swept over her.

Arnav whispered:Khushi...

Khushi stood up.She said:Arnavji...no...I don't trust myself.Please...I'm going to do fasting once in a week for our marriage to be blessed by our families.Then only we'll start our life.

Arnav:Don't you want to start our life?

Khushi:Very much...very much Arnavji..I want to be yours...I'm yours already but wait for some more days.

Arnav:This is punishment...Promise me that you won't leave me.

Khushi:I won't ..never...

Arnav stood up .She hugged him and said:I love you Arnavji...

Arnavji:When will you give me the chance to break your fast?You look ravishing in this green saree.No man can resist this situation and I know you also can't but I'm surprised at your resistance power.

Khushi:Please...Arnavji this sacrifice is a prayer to Devimayya to give us a long happy life together.And once everthing is alright ,I'll come to you myself.

Payal's voice startled her and brought her to the present.

{flashback over)

Payal:Why are you not telling us how all this happened?

Khushi just briefed what happened avoiding their stay at the villa at night.She just mentioned that they didn't start their married life.

Anjali:We'll statr the ceremonies at the earliest.

Nani:Exactly.

She called Aakash and Raj and they sat together to make a plan for the marriage.Panditji was called the next day and the dates of mehendi,sangeet, Haldi and marriage were fixed.

Khushi started to dream.. She decided to flirt with as well as annoy Arnav.Khushi has come back to her usual self even though she was haunted by the memories of her cousin Mili.

Arnav went straight to Aman's residence who welcomed him cool.

Arnav:How did you know?

Aman:For how many years we know each other?

Arnav:But still?

Aman:You once told that she won't marry anyone else.That day onwards I was observing both of you.Then one day I tested Khushi by telling her that you are in love with Shilpa and going to marry her.She was calm and cool.Then one day I saw a chain with a beautiful crystal pendant in our office.It was lying on the floor.I took it and found that the pendant could be opened.When I opened it I saw both of your selfie inside it and saw the quotes:"Nothing says "home" like the arms of my husband".I saw Khushi searching desperately for something.I kept the chain on the table and saw her taking it.I understood.And then I checked where you went a month back.I came to know that you were in your villa one night with her.That was enough for me to join the dots and get the picture.

Arnav:So you are spying on me.

Aman:With pleasure.But how could both of you live as strangers?

Arnav:She is fasting for our better future.

Aman threw back his head and laughed aloud.He could not control himself.He laughed and laughed.

Arnav:Laugh..laugh as much as you can..you won't understand my situation...

Aman in between laughing:So...so...that's it.Arnav Singh Raizada, the tameless tiger,is inside the Lakshmanrekha drawn by his wife.Oh my God..I can't help laughing...When will it be over?

Arnav:Till she gets the blessings of her guardians.Now she already got it.

Aman:so what is the problem?

Arnav:I'm annoyed at her.She broke the promise and went to her house without my permission.

He laughed again and tears rolled down his cheeks .Arnav gave him a punch at his back.

Aman:So...as the dates are announced,the wait is over.

Arnav:Now, the awkward situation is that she has started flirting with me.

Aman:Oh my god...Hahaha...Arnav..really..really..I can't help.

Arnav:Anyway I'll teach her a lesson.I've decided.

Arnav's phone buzzed.It was the call from one of his important business allies.

Arnav:I've started getting invitations for functions along with my wife.But Nani won't allow us to go together.

Aman:Don't worry.I'll manage.

After a lot of pressure Nani allowed them to go for the function but not alone but with Aakash and Payal.They were received with much warmth.Khushi was looking extremely beautiful in a designer saree with uncut diamond accessories given to her by Anjali.Khushi was looking at Arnav in a flirtatious way which embarrassed Arnav.The media wanted photographs and Khushi was very enthusiastic to pose by keeping herself very close to his body.It was while the party progressed that Aman's friend Vijay Rathore joined them.Vijay shook hands with Arnav and Khushi and he comfortably chatted with Khushi.Arnav watched and jealousy began to creep in his mind.As Khushi was walking with Vijay,suddenly she slipped and was going to fall but Vijay caught her.She saw Arnav fuming with anger and jealousy.She decided to make him annoyed and acted as though she sprained her ankle and asked Vijay to carry her to the chair .He was thrilled and as he was going to lift her,Arnav came near her and lifted her himself and instead of the chair,carried her to the car .He came back and said bye to his host and Aakash and quickly drove back home.Khushi understood that he was very angry but acted innocent and said:Arnavji,why did we return so fast?It was a nice programme.

Arnav didn't respond.

Khushi laid her head on his shoulders.He said sternly:sit straight

Khushi was now a little afraid.They reached home and Arnav went straight to his room without uttering a single word.Khushi went to her room.Nani and Anjaly had already slept.Khushi was thinking of a plan to change his mood.She changed into a sleeveless night gown with a thin material which easily showed her curves.Then she opened the door and went to Arnav's room.

She knocked on the door and waited.

Arnav asked from inside:Who's there?And then he opened the door.He was totally surprised to see Khushi standing outside.He looked at her from top to bottom and asked:Why are you here?

She acted:There is a cockroach in my room.I'm afraid.Shall I sleep here?

Arnav:Let me check your room.He went to her room followed by her and checked every nook and corner.

Arnav:Where did you find it?

She gave him a mischievous smile and then he realized that it was her trick.He turned to go but she back hugged him and began to move her hands through his chest.He pushed her away and turned around and said:Good night.He slammed the door and went to his room but couldn't sleep.

Khushi fell on the bed and cried.He never said any loving words to her since her return from her uncle's house.He didn't even sent her messages.Now she realized his pain when she denied him.But she decided to try again.

The next day she unnecessarily pressed her body to him while serving breakfast.It was a Sunday and he spent most of the time in his room working from home.Arnav was feeling sorry for her but was not ready to give up.He heard a knock on the open door and looked up.He saw her standing there with juice .

Arnav:Come in.

She entered and stretched her hand.He took the glass and looked at her.She suddenly bent her head and kissed him on his cheeks and quickly turned to go.He called"Khushi...She stopped in her tracks.He came in front of her and stretched his hands towards her chest.She was taken aback,embarrassed,so stepped back.But he caught hold of her and opened the pendant of her chain.He saw their selfie where Arnav's hands were around her belly and she leaning on his chest.It was a beautiful picture with beautiful quotes on the right side.It was these quotes seen by Aman.He looked into her eyes,then lips and asked:Do you know now the feeling of being avoided?I didn't sleep many nights thinking about you.I was totally broken.He saw tears in her eyes.He wiped it away and whispered in her ears:Why did you come yesterday night to my room?She was shy ,so pushed him away and ran from there.Arnav smiled.

That evening,she took Arnav's dresses to his room brought from laundry.The room was open.So she went inside and kept the clothes in the cupboard.She heard the bathroom door open.She turned around and saw him in bath towel.She thought:Oh my god..

He was surprised to see her there .He looked at her and called:Khushi,come here.She closed her eyes,She was blushing and fled from there.He smiled and said to himself:So..Mrs.Raizada is shy.He sent messages to her mobile which made her close her eyes and blush more.She was happy now.Everything was becoming normal.All the ceremonies of marriage were on the last week of that month.It was a simple family function but after that a grand reception was organized in a five star hotel where all the VIPs were invited.

She was cooking dinner. Anjaly and Payal went for watching TV after helping her.Arnav went there and startled her by whispering in her ear:Are you coming today to my room or shall I come to yours?He circled his hands on her waist and looked through her neck of what she was doing?Khushi couldn't even move. Nani who was coming to kitchen got a shock.She returned to the living room smiling.

Khushi stopped her work and said:Arnavji,let me do my work.

He turned her around and was going to kiss her,but his mobile buzzed and he saw his security Karan's number.He at once answered it and shouted :No...

Khushi was too shocked:Arnavji.. what happened?Arnav ran to his room,took his car key and shouted at Aakash while running to the front door:Aakash,come..Aman met with an accident.All were shocked to hear that.They were asking:How?When?But Arnav and Aakash drove on.

Arnav reached the hospital desperate and totally shaken.He stormed into the hospital room and saw Aman lying down with fractures.Arnav went near him and asked:Aman...what happened?I can't see you like this.

Vijay Rathore was also lying on another bed with fractures.

Vijay:Both of us were returning from golf club Arnav..

Aman cut him and said:I was giving side to a vehicle Arnav,but suddenly it hit the divider and it happened.

Arnav:You are never a reckless in driving.

Vijay:But...

Aman changed the topic:But Arnav ,these are slight fractures.I'm perfectly alright.

Next few days,Arnav spent entire time with Aman except for cooking and taking bath at home.He brought Aman home as his parents were not at his home and it was after complete cure that he left him in his flat along with his parents.

Arnav hugged Aman and said:Be careful Aman,you know how important you are to me ?

Aman:I know yaar.

There were only a few more days for Arnav and Khushi's wedding.

One night Khushi received a message :"hai,Khushi..I'm Vijay Rathore..I want to tell you an important matter,Shall we meet tomorrow in the park near the golf club?

Khushi:What is it?

Vijay:I'm leaving tomorrow .Before that I want to share something very important.Please don't tell Arnav or anyone.

Khushi:But why?

Vijay:It's about Aman's accident.

Khushi:I'll come.

She was now tensed.

She reached the park and Vijay was waiting there.It started to rain .Vijay:Khushi,it was not an accident.

Khushi:Then?

Vijay:It was a murder attempt.

Khushi :what?

Vijay:Arnav and Aman used to go to golf club in the evening know?Aman was driving safe but a truck hit our car purposely and Aman saw the person in that vehicle.He was one of the former employees of Arnav whom Arnav expelled from office due to treachery.He threatened Aman several times earlier but he didn't inform Arnav.It was aman who caught the man in the office.So he has the grudge.

Khushi:My god..I can't believe but Arnavji should know all these know?

Vijay:But Aman wants to keep it a secret because Arnav will kill that man if he knows the truth.

Khushi:But he should be jailed.

Vijay:Aman will tell him later.So khushi if possible inform Arnav about all these,otherwise his life will be in danger.

Khushi:Of course and thank you for trusting me.Let me now go home.

Vijay:I'll drop you home.It started raining heavily.

Thus Khushi reached home at around 7.00 pm.Rain subsided. Vijay dropped her at the gates of Raizada mansion,he got out,stood near her and said:Khushi,I like you very much..Mr.Raizada is a lucky man.In future,if you need any help,please don't forget to call me.

Khushi smiled and said:Thank you Vijay Bhaiyya.

He laughed aloud and said:You are clever.He said bye and drove off.

She entered the sit out and shocked to see Arnav standing there glaring at her.She was very afraid to see his expression.His face looked grim and hard,lips tightened ,eyes like steel..

He asked:Where were you?Why Vijay left you here?

Khushi was now very angry.She said:Why are you doubting me?

Arnav:Answer me

Nani,Anjaly and Payal came there as they heard noise.

Nani:What happened?

Arnav told Khushi:I don't want to see you in the house anymore.
