The epi was strictly okayish.. it was mainly a dissapointing anti-climax at times.. It mainly revolved around Lucifer, who was present in almost every scene. that entire Satan feather giving him a new lease of life for some time went beyond me.. 😕 what the hell?? a fossilised rock which has one of his feathers acts as a sort of a back up battery pack for some time.. ? Is that even possible?
Things i liked in the epi- (very few)
1] Rick Springfield did put in a commendable effort at the end.. although Lucifer sounded whiny rather than scary and intimidating, him not having a plan and being carefree and all, but overall it was a good effort from the actor, although everybody is steadfastly becoming tired of Lucifer and want an end to his story arc. Hopefully the makers have a good exit for Lucifer, or is it futile to expect anything and bas, just accept everything thats dished out to us?
Things i didnt like
1] Cass is just a powerless, toothless angel. I dont know why Misha talked at length about how Cass is angry at Lucifer and he is a bit like him self in season 4.. I am sorry, but season 4 Cass wasnt this weak! God knows how he is satisfied at whatever he is getting to portray.. till now Cass has been an epic dissapointment! 😭 🥺
2] Lucifer wasnt introduced as this whiny villian. We know him as the one who released Death from his cage, killed Gabriel the arch-angel and Cass with a snap of his fingers.. how come he was happy with having people loyal to him and having Loveleen bleed for him to show him what extent, she would go for him? Also, he was content with beating Cass and Crowley with guitars and what not.. not finishing them off.. very unlike his character.. Season 5 Lucifer was so so likable whereas season 12 one is.. 😕 weird..
3] All 4 Cass, Crowley, Sam and Dean arent able to find out where the rock concert is being held.. Like for real?? 🥱 Whatever happened to Cass's angel powers? Sam's hacking skills? Crowley's 'sources'? It was dissapointing seeing them talk to their respective sources and come up with nothing.. especially that Lady secretary, saying she would scream if Dean and Sam didnt let her leave.. and they reluctantly obliged. Since when have they been so inefficient? All of them..
4] Although Cass and Crowley agree to fight Lucifer for a few minutes, giving Dean and Sam time to let the civilians out.. wasnt it too dragged.. the entire VIP concert took too long, and even then triping the fire alarm which didnt work, along with a gun-shot.. which finally made everybody leave.. that too how come Sam prevented the doors from getting locked? Sam a human did what an angel and king of hell couldnt do.. 😳 🤔 the major showdown at the end of the hour lacked any dramatic impact after what felt like a tedious buildup.. Lucifer just ranted on a bit and Sam and Dean and Cass waited for his vessel to collapse.. no fight or anything of the sort..
In the next episode, Lucifer is out to target the President.. how many more vessels until Lucifer is killed or banished to his cage.. I would have loved the season 5 Lucifer to grace my screen.. and by grace, i mean both the character and actor.. not this weak washed up version who looks more like a throwaway monster of the week!
