I am so glad you all are liking this track... I wish in the serial also, Arnav would have figured it out earlier and much of a cat and mouse game between Arnav and Shyam...

Here I am still focusing on Arnav and Khushi...

But may be in future, I might write a seperate small story on Arnav and Shyam trying to corner each other...

Chapter 7 - Not a Penny Less, Not a Penny More!

Anjali was not sure what type of cases Shyam was handling to earn 60 crores. And if he was earning so much, why would he never spend any money or buy their own house etc. Too many questions lingering in her mind.

She knew she had to dig deeper to understand all this and she obviously called her trustworthy ally Aman.

Yes, she called Aman. He was her equal trustworthy for her as much as for Arnav... And even can keep secret from Arnav if she needed it... Anjali did not want to stress her Chote if things came out normal... She ordered Aman to hire the best detective and find out about Shyam, his business, exact type of cases he handles and his clients...

She just prayed Shyam was not fooling her or doing any illegal business.

Aman updated Arnav. Trap was set for Shyam. Once his Di starts using her brain, she was a typical Raizada. She will go to the roots to find all the details and never rest before finding the whole truth, he knew her well.

Shyam talked to his income tax agent. He also agreed to what Arnav had suggested. Shyam had to submit details to respond to Income Tax Audit so he had no choice but to transfer assets quickly.

Shyam had recently bought a huge farm house with 20 acre farm land out skirts of Lucknow. He had negotiated well yet had bought it for a whopping 12 crores.

Plus he had finalized a huge godown space for another 8 Crores. It looked like he had planned to settle in Lucknow.

May be Raizada family never wanting to step in Lucknow, it would be easy for him to avoid them plus Khushi being native of Lucknow, it would be easy for him to pursue her!

Nice try Mr. Shyam Manohar Jha but over my dead body!! Arnav promised himself. He would use all possible methods against Shyam.

Arnav made few phone calls to local goon Rana in Lucknow who was his good friend in school days but he had gone wrong path. But somehow Rana and Arnav forgot their friendship but never met or did anything to affect each other's rapport. But if any of them needs help, they were always a phone call away. Arnav told Rana the details about Shyam and Rana promised to help... He treated Anjali like his sister too... Rana promised to spread litigation rumors about the farm land and godown Shyam had bought...

The news of litigation almost killed Shyam. It was as if a massive earth quake in his financial world! He had no clue how he was suddenly going down like that.

He again referred Arnav having no choice.

"Jijaji, Abbaji is the biggest goon in Lucknow. Rana is his son. How did you manage to go against him? And when did you purchase such a big farm and godown that too in Lucknow and for how much?" Arnav asked with a straight face.

"I wanted to gift it too Rani Saheba for giving such a wonderful baby news!" Shyam lied through his teeth avoiding to disclose the property value.

Arnav wish he could choke Shyam right there to his death for his fake love towards his Di. But he would rather kill him piece by piece. He pretended to absorb the emotional googlie ball thrown by Shyam.

"Jijaji either sell it off or transfer or gift it to someone who has higher power than Abbaji. Like any person who has political connections as well as a very positive impact on society. So Abbaji and Rana will back off in that case, they recently had cold war against police and lost their force... I will also consult with lawyers but that seems to be the immediate solution. But no one would want to buy the property now that Abbaji and Rana are involved with it... Whole Lucknow is scared of them and wouldn't want to involve... Forget about the properties if it was not worth a huge amount Jijaji..." Arnav passed his words slowly acting as if he was thinking.

Shyam barely gulped the suggestion of forgetting the properties... He took help and sat down on sofa thinking... Suddenly a thought came to his mind...

"Saale Saheb, in that case I should transfer it to you only. Then you can return it to me later" Shyam was excited now.

"It will look too obvious Shyam. And I am businessman and hate to go to Lucknow so I will not be able to go for any property related work... May be Nani would be a better person. She has Lucknow roots and she has been having political connections for years plus recognized as a great charitable leader in Lucknow. And put Di's name as a nominee and it might save your day!" Shyam liked Arnav's suggestion immediately because Arnav did not get those properties on his own name and was out of the loop himself.

Plus Shyam thought Naniji and Anjali can be managed way easily, whereas the less Arnav involved in his work, the better it is...

Now only thing remaining was Shyam's bank balance. That was not too much either - Just 4 crores but Arnav knew he needed take every penny back from Shyam.

So he booked a bungalow very close to RM in Anjali's and Shyam's name. The paper work was yet to be done and he had clearly specified the builder via Aman to book it only in his Di's name. Arnav told Shyam that he was paying 50% down payment for them and they would manage remaining payments and loan.

Shyam was more than happy to receive a house worth 30 crores in the poshest area of Delhi that too very close to RM. It was like a dream come true. He went ahead and even disclosed additional couple of crores to pay extra 6 crores. And he showed readiness to pay remaining 9 crores with bank loans and installments.

Shyam had paid 6 Crores and he needed to go to Lucknow immediately for the litigation case. So Arnav suggested they should start the paperwork for the bungalow in Anjali's name for now since she is the one who will be local while Shyam has to travel often. And Shyam could add his name as soon as he is back from Lucknow... Shyam did not see any problem with the deal...

The bungalow was booked.

Arnav, Aman and private detectives confirmed all properties were now transferred to Anjali and Shyam had no properties or money at all individually in his name.

Arnav had smartly asked Ashutosh to call Shyam alternate day to remind him about the income tax paper work submission and keep the pressure mounted on Shyam... Shyam was so occupied from all sides that he was not thinking straight and sinking faster even before he gets a clue...

Now Arnav started working with detectives to find proper proofs against Shyam on his illegal businesses.

First fake degree, fraud cases by customers, fake loans, illegal money transactions, his association with Lucknow gang doing illegal drugs and other business, his association with couple of builders who were deep in trouble running fraud constructions and fake residential buildings. The list was endless.

Shyam would go behind the bars longer than he had thought!
