Part 17 continued

Khushi was in a panic as Arnav didn't reply to her.He didn't answer her calls also. Khushi was wondering about the change of attitude of her aunt and uncle.Her aunt was asking Khushi to forgive them for causing lot of mental agony to her.It was then Vinod told her that Arnav visited her uncle one day without her knowing.He made them understand about Khushi's innocence,her state of mind,how she was afraid about the curse and so on.Khushi couldn't believe what she heard and she repented for not responding to his concern for her.Khushi decided to reveal the whole truth about what happened between her and Arnav.

Her uncle said:Khushi,why didn't you tell this earlier?You have done a serious mistake.you are wrong.Go back at once to Mr.Raizada.

Aunt:Is this what I taught you?You have now done a sin.

Vinod:no aunty..she loves you.She needs your blessing.

Khushi:I'm alive because of you.How can I deny and defy your words?Anyway I was not going to marry anyone else. I'll go back to him when your health improves.

Uncle:No..she'll be taken to Delhi hospital in the next week along with Vishaal. Vinod...please go with her to Mr.Raizada's house.

Khushi:Uncle,I'll meet all the expenses of treatment.I'll sign the cheque .You can take as much as you want.

Uncle:No need of that..We'll discuss all that later.

Aunt:You have our blessings.My curse will never adversely affect your life.What happened in our life is our fate.

Khushi sent a message to Arnav that she would be coming back and called Anjaly and Payal.Anjaly passed the message to Arnav.Arnav listened without any interest.

Nani: Anjaly,...he seems disinterested.

Anjaly: No,nani his ego is hurt.He won't give up now that easily.Khushi sounded very happy and I understand that she is coming back to chote.But I'm not sure how he would respond.But Nani..there is something between the two of which we are ignorant.

Anjaly saw Arnav coming from his room with a travelling bag.

Anjaly:Where are you going?

Arnav:I'm going for a business trip.I would be staying with Aman..will be back after a few days.He left immediately.

Anjaly:So he is not going to meet Khushi.

Nani:Let us see what happens.

Khushi reached Raizada mansion .She was tensed,afraid and excited to meet Arnav. she was received with much warmth and love.Her eyes were searching for him.Anjaly understood but teased:Whom you are searching?He is not here,will be back only after a few days.

Khushi was totally disappointed.

Four days passed by.Khushi was depressed and disappointed.He didn't answer her calls.He contacted only Anjaly.So she decided to meet him in his office.She wore the green saree gifted by him on the most memorable day in her life.She was looking gorgeous and irresistible.her heart pounded when she reached the gates of AR office.Arnav who was expecting her at any moment in his office was watching her through the CCTV.He took his intercom and ordered his secretary that he was not to be disturbed for the next few hours.He said to himself:I won't give up easily.".He was going through mental agony because he was on the impression that he lost her. He was not ready to face the same situation any more. He was not sure about the reason for her return eventhough he knew that she loved him.He was totally annoyed with her for going with her uncle without meeting him.When she was not allowed to get inside his office she told the secretary to inform him that it was she who was waiting outside but the secretary informed that he was busy and would not be able to meet her.She understood that he was avoiding her.She tried hard to control tears. While she was going back,she met Aman at the entrance.He was surprised to see her and asked her whether she met Arnav.She told that he was busy.So Aman requested her to go with him to Arnav's office but Khushi went back home.Arnav was watching everything through close circuit and was feeling guilty.

Aman entered his office.

Aman:So you were playing hide and seek.Both of you should urgently meet a psychiatrist.

Arnav didn't respond.

Aman continued:She came here to meet you.At least show the courtesy to listen to her.

Arnav:You are talking without any sense.I literally begged her to lead a life with me.Me,who does not believe in marriage was ready to lead a married life.She simply walked away.

Aman:She might have her own reasons.

Arnav:Bakwas reasons.Please stop the topic.Talk business.

Aman:If she leaves again,some times she won't be back ever.

ARnav:When did you become an astrologer and mind reader?

Aman:Ok..so you don't mind if she marries some one else.

Arnav:she won't do that.

Aman:Ha..Ha..ha caught you.So you do mind.And you are overconfident that she won't betray you.

Arnav:Let her do what she likes.

Aman:Ok..then why can't you get married to someone else?

Arnav:I'm thinking of the possibility.

Aman:You Devil...

Arnav returned home and Khushi kept away from him.Anjaly,Payal and Nani were watching them without their knowing.

It was scorching summer in Delhi.All were keeping enough water in the rooms before going to bed.The night after Arnav's return,Khushi slept while reading a book and forgot to switch off the lights and close the door.Anjaly and Raj were not at home.Nani slept early.Arnav saw lights through the half open door and went to see what was happening.He saw Khushi lying on the bed.She was wearing a small skirt and a sleeveless top.The picture in front of him was alluring.Her beautifully shaped breasts were visible through the thin top,her small skirt revealed her beautiful thighs and legs.No man could resist such a situation.But Arnav at once took his eyes away from her as he felt he was being indecent to watch her without her knowing.He closed the door and went to his room.But he couldn't sleep.The beautiful figure began to haunt him. His desire was uncontrollable.He slowly went back to her room.And to his astonishment saw her going to her room with a jug of water from the kitchen.She turned back as she felt someone behind her.She was shocked and embarrassed. Arnav saw her wearing a night gown.

Arnav stared at her and asked:Why did you come back?I want an answer.

Khushi:I know you are angry with me but I think you'll understand me.

Arnav:No...I won't understand. you can go back.

Khushi :No...I won't .I'll stay with you.

Arnav:As my mistress?

Khushi was shocked at the insult.

Arnav moved towards her .He pulled her roughly towards him.She couldn't resist.He whispered in her ears:You look very inviting in this dress.Shall I?His lips sought hers .Khushi was lost.

Khushi's voice trembled:As you like,I'm ready for anything.I want to compensate for what I have done to you.

Arnav at once released her,stared at her and immediately left the room.

Arnav didn't talk to Khushi for the next few days. A cultural show was going to be conducted by an organization including the film artists.They approached AR groups for sponsorship.Arnav didn't agree but Aman persuaded him to accept it.A demand was raised by Aman to the group.A fashion show displaying AR designs was to be allowed during the programme.Arnav found it sensible and appreciated him.Aman had some other ideas behind it.

The day of cultural fiesta dawned.The whole Raizada family ,their friends and relatives were present as VIPs.Khushi was not seen with them.Arnav was worried but was very reluctant to ask anyone regarding her absence.Famous film stars were also present.

Aman, Aakash and Arnav were waiting in the entrance for the chief guest.Shilpa was also there .Then a white ford endeavour came and halted in front of them.A very good looking young man opened the door and stepped outside.He was very pleasant looking.He came forward and shook hands with Aman.

Aman:Hello all, this is Mr.Vijay Rathore from Jodhpur.He was my collegemate.Then Aman introduced everyone to him.

.Arnav was thinking about Khushi.He was restless. The show started and after a few programmes, the fashion show of AR designers was announced The show was well supported by very melodious,rhythmic music.Arnav could not believe what he saw on the stage.Every one gasped at the beautiful figure performing at ease in a saree,marvelously designed,along with fine pieces of matching jewellery.All were murmuring:Who is this beautiful girl?Vijay who was sitting near Arnav asked him.Who is she?Arnav :Eh..she ..she.Aman answered:She is family.

Arnav looked at Aman who avoided his glaring.

Vijay:Is she married?

Aman:No

Arnav was too angry now.He knew that Aman was aware of her performance.Everyone praised Khushi and her group.

Then the cultural show continued.After 1 hour there was an announcement of break of 15 minutes and those who were interested could dance on the stage.Again by taking everyone by surprise Khushi and 6 other girls danced for a new Hindi number which audience supported with good applause.Vijay asked Aman to introduce Khushi to him.

Aman:Of course,with pleasure.He went with Vijay.

Arnav was now totally restless.He wanted to punch Aman.Anjaly,Nani and Payal were enjoying Arnav's state.

Aman and Vijay came back with Khushi.She sat between Aman and Vijay.Arnav looked at her but she avoided him.Then came the exciting announcement on couple dance.Those who wanted to dance were invited to the stage.

Vijay to Khushi:Shall we try on a number?

They started to move towards the stage.Arnav at once called the stage manager and the lights and sound in charge to his side.Within seconds the audience heard the announcement:Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada, the main sponsor, wants to speak to you.Vijay and Khushi stopped in their track.

Arnav took the phone and shocking everyone he announced: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm not a person who likes dance that much but today I want,I wish to dance with my wife.

There was pindrop silence.The whole Raizada family shocked and jumped to their feet except Aman .He had a triumphant smile on his face.Khushi was dumbfound and tears rolled down her cheeks.He slowly came near Khushi who at once hugged him and cried.It was such an emotional scene and Aman watched it through tears of joy.The media as well as the audience were mad with excitement as Arnav led her to the stage and danced with light steps.
