A Beautiful article and story analysis by Fuzion Productions.
Sometimes the word we say, we do not even realise how impactful they are. Irony is that often our own words come up with a completely different meaning changing the intention of the words altogether.

Tonight, Dev and Ishwari's scene in Dev's room is very significant. For the first time, unknowingly Ishwari taught and asked her son to do exactly the right things. She uttered those words advising her son to take care of her pregnant daughter in law, which is of course her assumption. However, her words are ditto applicable even with the truth of Sonakshi's inhospitable uterus. If a lady needs her husband when she is pregnant, then a lady who cannot give birth also needs the same care from her husband. Ishwari's advise to Dev tonight had very deep layered double meaning and I would like to highlight the same sentences here hoping that one day Dev will do exactly like his mother has asked him to do -

Tujhe Abhi Sonakshi Ka Zyaada Khayal Rakhna Hoga. Jitna Rakhta Hai, Usse Bhi Zyaada (You need to take care of Sonakshi. More than what you do now)

Usse Hamesha Khush Rakh. Koi Bhi Tanaav Nahi Rehna Chaiye (Keep her happy always. She should never be sad)

Aise Waqt Mein Ek Patni Ko Apne Pati Ke Dekhbhaal Ki Nahi, Pati Ke Saath Ki Zaroorat Hoti Hai (At times like this, a wife needs not only her husband's care but her husband's companionship)

Tu Ek Achca Pati To Hai Hi. Ab Sahi Maaine Mein Achcha Jeevan Saathi Ban Kar Dikhaa (You are a good husband. Now be a good life partner to her)

...
Jitna Waqt Tu Bita Sakta Hai, Utna Waqt Tu Sonakshi Ke Saath Bitaaya Kar (Spend as much time as possible with her)

Tu Sonakshi Ko Itna Pyar De Ki Uska Wazan Dugna Ho Jaaye (Love her so much that she gains double of her weight)

I will quote John. F Kennedy here to understand Dev's situation. He said, "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."

And we feel somehow Dev will try to live by these words of Ishwari, although under a different circumstance.

There are another 4 very significant moments in the show to talk about. Here you go -

1.Dev Comparing The Past And The Present

And will this comparison be a mirror to him in the future? Probably, yes. What he is seeing today might not exist tomorrow and it will not only come as a jolt to him but also will make him realise the harsh reality and the difference between right and wrong.

To make a person break his life long barriers and to speak up, one needs to push him to the edge. Dev right now is standing on the edge of a rooftop. But he is yet to realise it. He just knows about the height but he will only speak up when the fear of the height or his frustration related to his own fear will strike him.

But for sure, the way he is comparing his mother and Sona's past and present equation, he will compare and understand the changes sooner when he will again stand in a position to compare the present and the future in the later episodes.

2.A Son Talks To His Mother About How She Has Been As A Mother In Law

How will Ishwari react on learning the truth or what her reaction would be is a secondary matter. But tonight the moment that stands out as the most highlighted one would be Dev telling his mother about how he always hoped and wished that Ishwari loves Sona as much as she loves him. Ishwari heard her son and understood what he meant. She also understood and somehow accepted that she might have been too busy feeling like a mother in law and that a mother in law's weaknesses took over her for some time.

Today Ishwari came to know what makes her son happy. She heard the unbelievable words, "I can't believe,Tu Meri Maa Hai?" from her son as he was overwhelmed with the love she was showering on her daughter in law. The question attached to Dev's line somehow changed Ishwari's expression which depicted her realisation that somewhere Dev missed Ishwari's goodness when it came to Sonakshi.

Now if she turns too negative, takes an about turn and anyhow becomes a reason for Sona's hurt, she must know that her status of God will no longer be there in her son's mind. She will fall in his eyes even if he stays silent. Ishwari will prove that her love for Sonakshi is conditional and that will be more than painful for Dev.

3. A Father And A Husband Noticing The Difference

I particularly loved the camera angle of this scene. It clearly showed us a glimpse of the future yet again. Whereas Bijoy and Asha were standing in front of Sona looking at her, being the first people in her life to share her happiness and grief, Dev was right behind them, again looking at Sona taking in bit by bit of her happiness. The scene for a few seconds showed the viewers the two pillars of Sonakshi who can or would become her strength in future.

Bijoy and Dev, both even had the same thought process. If Sona's father was thinking about how Ishwari is being a mother to Sona after all this while, Dev in the same way was thinking about the changing equation between Sona and Ishwari.

As I have always said earlier, Dev and Bijoy both might be poles apart from each other but when it comes to Sonakshi, they somehow end up thinking and feeling the same for her.

4.Dev - The Man Who Wants To Win Others' Happiness By Losing His Own Pride

Some scenes are writer's moment and some scenes are actor's moment. This scene was Shaheer Sheikh and the dialogue writer's moment.

I sometimes wonder, is Dev really an Atheist? Atheists neither blame God for the unfortunate happenings in their life nor do they give credit to God for something good. For Atheists, God do not exist and for someone who do not exist, how can you blame or praise that very person for anything bad or good happening your life? But Dev plays the blame game with God. He is definitely not an Atheist. It's just that he is too aggrieved, resentful and angry towards the almighty.
