The next day while Khushi was alone in the open verandah near his room,wateringthe plants,Arnav went there and asked :Khushi..I want to talk to you.Khushi:I don't have anything to say to you.Good bye..Arnavji,I think this is the wisest thing Ican do for you.I'll send the bridal dress for your future wife".
Arnav threw the glass vase on the teapoy on the wall which at once broke

into pieces and a small piece hit Khushi's forehead.

Arnav rushed to her side .A tensed Arnav called:Khushi...Khushi..my dear I'm so sorry.He scooped her up in his hands and made her sit on the bed.She pushed him off and said in a trembling voice:You were in a desperate bid to quench your anger know?Are you satisfied?

Arnav :I didn't mean to hurt you.And you know it.

He rushed to get the first aid box and by that time Anjali,Payal and Nani rushed to the room.

Nani:What was that sound?What was it?

Khushi cautioned them:Glass pieces...be careful...

Arnav came with the first aid box.

Their eyes widened when they saw the beautiful vase in pieces and Khushi's injured forehead.

Anjali:How did it happen?We will go to hospital.

Arnav:No,it's a very small cut.

Anjali:How did it happen?

Khushi and Arnav looked at each other.

Khushi:It accidently fell from my hands and a piece hit my forehead.

Shilpa came to the room.

Shilpa:Oh...What happened?Arnav ..are you hurt?

She saw Arnav applying medicine on her cut.

Shilpa:I will help you

Arnav:No..I will do it myself.

Nani and Anjaly looked at each other.

Nani:Khushi beti..are you ok?

Khushi:Yes..Nani .Payal please help me to get back to my room.I'm feeling a little dizzy.

Arnav:Lie down here.Please don't walk.You may faint.

Shilpa:It's your room know?Let her take rest in her room.

Arnav gave her a warning look .

Nani and Anjaly smiled at each other.

After some time Khushi went to her room with Payal.

In the evening ,Khushi was watching TV in the living room. She was startled to hear Arnav's voice from behind.

She looked around.Khushi...how are you?I'm sorry that I hurt you.I didn't mean it.He touched her forehead.Khushi...Please forgive me..

Khushi didn't respond.

Arnav :Why are you quiet?

Khushi:I will leave within two days.

Arnav:Again...?

Khushi:You are going to get engaged to Shilpa,so why should it bother you?

Arnav:Khushi..You know I'm not going to do that.Don't check my patience.You forgot everything?

Khushi:It's you who forgot everything,not me.And you are dragging another girl in between us.

Arnav:You are keeping silence on your feelings.

He immediately left the room in rage.

Anjaly heard the heated argument between the two.

Anjaly:Khushi..please tell me..both of you are hiding something.

Khushi was embarrassed:It's nothing di...You know di..i don't want to spoil his life...

Anjaly:Don't be superstitious Khushi..

Khushi:The people who brought me up are sad and facing tragedy in life..how can I be happy in a married life?Di...Shilpa is a good match for Arnavji..please get them married...There was tears in her eyes.

Anjaly:And you'll be happy?

Khushi kept silent and he cut the phone.

Khushi was desperate.Again she tried.

He answered only after several calls.

Khushi:Arnavji...please come back..

Arnav:I'll come back only if you come here .

Khushi:Where?

Arnav mentioned the place and asked her:Is this place familiar to you?

Khushi said after a few seconds:Yes.

Arnav:So ...come here..be a good girl.

Khushi:What would I say Di and others?

Khushi:No...no..

Khushi cut the phone and sat there for some time.

She decided to go.She got ready and came down.While she was going to explain everything to Di,the door bell rang.She went and opened it.Her uncle and Vinod entered.
