He's just being contrary. He never approves his own words forget about others.

Shivaay: Mujhe Farak Nahin Parhta

Anika goes out to sleep. He is trying his best to not let her do what she wants. Why?
Not because someone will see her sleeping outside but because she has fever.

The 'Paani' wala element in their story has a big part to play.
Shivaay wanted to get up, close & personal with Anika that is why he jumped in the water and was trying to get naughty. He was also disappointed when Anika said she's ready to apologise because he just started getting in the 'mood' 😉
